Visa Process to Study in USA

International Applicants can apply for a student visa in the USA in any round but if they are unable to secure a visa before August 1, their admission is deferred for the year. The applicants need to apply for an F-1 Visa online, for applicants who are sponsored by their employer, need to apply for a J-1 Visa once they receive the I-20 form from Dartmouth College. The documents required for F-1 Visa are:

  • The completed Form DS-160 from the appropriate U.S. consulate,

    • Evidence of financial holdings in the home country,
    • Ownership of a car or other liquid assets,
    • Spouse, children or significant other family relatives in the home country, 
    • Permanent employment offer in the home country,
    • Strong religious or civic ties to the local community,
