Admissions take place in July through the Centralized Admission Examination for B.Tech and through Undergraduate Combined Entrance Examination (UCEED) for B.Des. They are both full-time degree programs offered to students at IIITDM Jabalpur.

IIITDM Jabalpur B.Tech & B.Des. Admission Process
Students willing to apply for B.Tech admissions must qualify JEE Mains while B.Des aspirants must qualify UCEED. The following section discusses the process of admission for both B.Tech and B.Des.
JEE Mains 2020
The application fee for taking this exam varies with the type of candidature. The application fee for the general category is INR 325. The following section throws light on the requirements and the process of registration for JEE Mains.
Documents Required
- Scanned and recent photograph coloured or black/white (but clear contrast) JPG/JPEG format. Size should be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
- Scanned signature in JPG/JPEG format. Size should be between 4 kb to 30 kb.
- Application forms with unclear photographs will be rejected.
How to Register?
- Visit the official website of JEE Main and click on “Fill Online Application Form”.
- Register by giving your personal details, to generate a user id and password.
- The application number will be generated after submitting the details for registration.
- The form requires personal details, address, and mobile number.
- You can set your security question and password to access the application for the future.
- Submit the application form by logging in with the same user id and password that you had set.
UCEED 2020
Registrations are allowed only if the candidates fulfill the eligibility of completing high school, not attempted the test more than twice and the date of birth is not before October 1, 1995. Read the following section to know about the documents required at the time of registration.
Documents Required
- A recent coloured photograph of full frontal (face) view, not older than six months (only JPEG image formats with file extension .jpg) will be accepted.
- Scanned copy of the candidate’s full signature on white paper (only JPEG image formats with file extension .jpg) will be accepted.
- Qualifying examination certificate (only PDF formats with file extension .pdf will be accepted).
- Candidates who will be appearing in 2020 for the board exam, a certificate from the school/college principal.

There are numerous factors to consider before enrolling in any institute. In terms of curriculum, it is assumed that the CSE curriculum at IIIT Guwahati is on par with that of any other institute of national importance. Many of the seniors landed good jobs in MNCs, and despite the location taboo, they were able to find suitable placements. Because Jabalpur is in Central India, more companies will undoubtedly visit the campus. However, you are aware that they are also in the design and management fields. In contrast, the IIT Guwahati curriculum is completely different from theirs in that regard (it includes courses such as optimization techniques which IIITDM does not possibly have). In CSE, a greater emphasis is placed on software development and machine learning. So if you want to be in the middle of nature, join IIIT Guwahati. Whoever said this might be an immature student in their field of study, perhaps a freshman or a sophomore. It is recommended to compare the faculty research areas and qualifications in both institutes as well as the infrastructure, placement record, and curriculum. I have few friends at both IIITM Gwalior and IIITDM Jabalpur. Based on the conversation I had with them, I will say IIITM Gwalior is the better option for CSE. The faculty at IIITM Gwalior is great. Most of the faculty members have Ph.D. The placement record of IIITM Gwalior is also quite impressive. Here are the recent placement statistics for the institute. Having friends studying at both the institutions, I can say that both the colleges IIITDM Jabalpur and IIITM Gwalior are good. It will be a difficult choice to select one among them. Both the colleges have a good reputation and provide their students with good Infrastructure, faculties, culture, and placements. Here’s discussing some facts about them which might guide you. IT (Integrated) at IIITM Gwalior: If you want to go for higher education then it will take you 1 year less. You can pursue M.Tech again after the dual degree from IITs, but not many do that, they go for Ph.D. instead. IIITM Gwalior definitely has a better coding culture and alumni network than IIITDM Jabalpur. If you think that IT is a lower level compared to CSE then think twice. Placement wise both are at par. There may be a bit of difference between the two in the course content but you can nullify it by self-studying. You will get to sharpen your skills and work on more projects, learn more things in the one extra year. It never goes to waste. CSE at IIITDM Jabalpur: I would suggest you opt for it if you want to go into the workforce right after graduation and don’t want to spend one extra year. Choose it if you want to do higher studies like M.Tech, MS, etc. from other more reputed institutions after 4years itself. One of my cousins studied at IIITDM Jabalpur. According to him and his classmates, IIITDM is growing at such a brilliant pace in terms of curriculum and placement that the fact that it is still a relatively new institute sounds unconventional to people. With the pace of the growth, it can surely be said that IITDM Jabalpur has the potential to become a place of great importance at an international level. CSE is a much better choice than EE due to the growth of AI, Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, and even the utility of computers in our lives. The demand has increased. All of these, without a doubt, carry great importance and have managed to accommodate that in our day-to-day activities. Having said that, the placement stats are also quite impressive. Ques. Which is better, CSE at IIITDM Jabalpur or IPG in IIITM Gwalior?
In 2019, NIRF ranked IIITDM #75th among top engineering colleges in India. whereas, ABV-IIITM Gwalior is ranked #100 th . Admission for the IPG program at IIITM Gwalior is done through JEE Main, while for CSE at IIITDM Jabalpur, one must secure 50% marks with Physics and Chemistry along with a valid score in JEE Main. Admissions: IIITM Gwalior Candidates must qualify JEE Main and participate through centralized counseling held by JoSAA. The total intakefor MTech is 119 and for IPG MBA, it is 69. The institute accepts online applications for which the applicants have to register via valid mail id and phone number. On registration, fill up the application form and pay the application fee. Attach the required documents and submit the form. To register for the relevant entrance exam, follow the same procedure as mentioned above. IIITDM Jabalpur For admission in B.Tech CS, the applicant must have a valid score in JEE Main, however, for M.Tech, a score in GATE is scored. The application fee is INR 325.
