IIT Kharagpur MBA Admissions 2024 are based on CAT score. CAT 2023 registrations are over now and admit card will be released on November 07. CAT 2023 is scheduled on November 26, 2023. IIT Kharagpur MBA Aspirants need to score atleast 90-98% marks in CAT to clear IIT Kharagpur Cutoff. Once the cutoff criteria is done, further selection will be based on Academic background, work experience, Personal Interview and Diversity like factors.
IIT Kharagpur VGSOM MBA Admission is a two-step process. First, the candidates who have applied successfully to the program are shortlisted for Personal Interview (Online-PI) non the basis of CAT scores and academic qualifications. Secondly, the candidates who have been selected through the Online-PI process are offered final admission to MBA on the basis of a cumulative performance score based on application rating and performance in Online-PI. IIT Kharagpur MBA course is offered in 12 specializations.
- The minimum requirement for the course is a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST)
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on CAT followed by PI.

IIT Kharagpur MBA Eligibility
To apply for MBA programme, candidates need to fulfill the following eligibility:
- Candidates must have a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, Medicine or relevant disciplines
OR
- Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Science/Economics/Commerce (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level)
- Candidates must have secured 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD) or CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale (CGPA of 6.0 for SC/ST/PWD) in the above qualifying degree.
- Final year candidates can also apply for MBA program. However, admission of such candidates will be on provisional basis,,
- Candidates should be in good health.
NOTE - Candidates belonging to PWD category have to appear before a medical board on or before October 31, 2023 at IIT Kharagpur. The decision of the Medical Board will be considered final regarding the eligibility of such candidates.

Stage I: IIT Kharagpur MBA Shortlist based on CAT

IIT Kharagpur MBA Course Details
The curriculum of MBA course is designed in an extremely effective manner. The course is of 2-year duration with 4 semesters:
- The first semester contains 11 core courses.
- In the second semester. Candidates have to study 8 course courses and opt for 1 elective
- While in third and fourth there are 3 core courses and candidates have to opt for 8-9 electives.
- Additionally, students have to take a Project in the first three semesters and in fourth semester, there will be Comprehensive Viva.
- The total credit of all the semester is 91.
- IIT Kharagpur also offers Micro specialization in MBA with a limited number of seats.
- Candidates must have 4 subjects (2 Core + 2 Electives) to earn the Micro-specialization and a minimum credit of 12.
