- With approximately 12 faculty members in the department, the professors are easily approachable and ready to support you in terms of coursework and career prospects.
- The best effort is made to place students in the best organizations in the nation as well as abroad.
- In the computer science department, the best placements come from tech giants like Facebook and Google, along with e-commerce companies like Flipkart, etc.
- The fees, I guess, are 2-2.5 lakhs per year. But the best part is that student loans are so easy to get, given the college we are talking about is IIT Kharagpur.
- IIT Kharagpur has excellent facilities for sports. We have a swimming pool, a basketball court, a chess club, cricket and football grounds, table tennis and badminton courts. Coaches are also available. Everybody can avail these facilities.
- Awesome hostel, one of the best on campus. Three people stay in each room, with one bed, one wardrobe, and one study desk and chair provided for each student.
- My college is the best place for learning, with all sorts of facilities and an amazing infrastructure.
Dislike
- We must take part in our activities, except academics, which take a lot of time during the day, which is so frustrating.
- Placement opportunities are poor in core companies due to the scarcity of job openings in comparison to the number of students.
- If your income is less than a lakh, you can get rid of paying the college semester fees of 1 lakh for each semester.
- The gender ratio in our college is pretty bad, as bad as 1 girl to 11 boys, which is why the diversity is very low.
- The hostel facilities are average, and students are often forced to share rooms due to a lack of space.
- The climate in Kharagpur is really awful; it is the worst one I have ever faced in my life.

Placement Experience:
Internships start in the 5th semester and placements start in the 7th semester. Many MNCs and startups visit for internships and placements. The average package remains around 16lakhs per annum and the highest package goes over 2Cr.
Remarks:
To be eligible for admission to IIT, you need to pass JEE mains and obtain a rank in JEE advanced, which will determine your branch. You also need to score 75% and above on the 12th board. Applications for JEE mains are released by NTA, while IIT releases the forms for JEE advanced. Different types of reservations are available, including those based on caste (such as OBC, SC, ST), EWS, PWD, and a quota for girls.
Placement Experience:
The placement is top in India. And very good companies visit here to take students in every field not only in the core sector but also in the non-core sector. More than 90% of students get placed here and the average is around 15lpa. The highest package is around 2.8 crore per annum.
Remarks:
To get into my college you have to qualify for JEE Advanced and get a good rank in it it varies from category to category. In general, to get into IIT Kharagpur in any branch your rank should be in the top 15000. And also to give JEE Advanced exam you have to qualify JEE Mains exam which is conducted twice in a year by NTA. There are also some criteria to qualify in JEE mains to get to give JEE Advanced for the general category which is around the 90 percentile. Also, the benefits to reserve category students are the same as those given by govt of India. The form of JEE mains and Advanced both are available online. The form fees of JEE mains are around 500 and JEE Advanced is around 1800.
Placement Experience:
Students at IIT Kharagpur are eligible for internships from the third year of btech program and the fourth year of the dual degree program. The highest package at our college in the last year was 2.6 crore per annum. The average package is 26 LPA. I would like to get placed or startup after the degree.

A student has to qualify for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced for being eligible. For the application form and details, he/she needs to visit the JoSAA website. The cut-off for backward castes is lower. JoSAA website could have linked with the official websites of the colleges and provided details of reporting date etc.

For campus placements, students will be eligible from the fourth year. Students are eligible for internships from the third year. The highest package this year is 2.68 cr per annum and the average package is 26 LPA.
Remarks:
Qualifying JEE Mains and JER Advanced. Application for the institute is done by JoSAA. Intimation about the reporting dates of particular colleges was not given in JoSAA and was not even redirected to the website of the institute we got allotted. Reservation is available for SC, ST.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose this course purely because of the rank and I was getting IIT KGP which is a dream college for many. The faculty includes great profs like Joy Sen Sir, Arjun Sir, Arup Sir, and Shreyas Sir. They are world-class teachers and the learning environment is so great at IIT KGP. Two-term exams namely mid-sem and end sem along with a few class tests happen and they aren't so difficult to pass believe me. I mean you guys have cleared the world's toughest examination to reach there, the term exam is comparatively a piece of cake

So I gave JEE Advanced 2022 and then later on AAT to get qualified for IIT Kharagpur B.Arch. JEE Advanced rank closed at 17k this year for this course for the unreserved category. It is a tough exam to crack but with sheer hard work, dedication and patience you guys can reach to your dream college, in my scenario yes I made it to my dream college i.e., IIT KGP
Placement Experience:
The placement process starts in the third semester and there are enough offers for the whole batch to get placed with prestigious companies in India. The average package is approx 19l per annum. Other placement details you can get from the placement brochure on the college website.

Course Curriculum Overview:
It is one of the best courses at IIT Kharagpur. Lots of scopes in Internships and placements for this course. The curriculum is very good and well-structured. The faculty-student ratio is 1:5.One of the best professors teaches Industrial and Systems Engineering.
Remarks:
Admission to IIT Kharagpur is through Jee-Advanced. For Jee-Advanced you must qualify in Jee-Mains also. For the Industrial and systems course, you must have a rank above 8000 in General Category. You can find the application form on Google.
Placement Experience:
Student in the 1st semester of their final year is able for sitting in placements. There are around 400+ companies visited the campus for the placements like apple, google, Microsoft, Honeywell, Rubrik, Jane Street, alphagrape, etc. They took around 50 students from different courses. We have the highest package of 3 cr this year for the quant profile of Rubrik. There are around 90-95 got placed every year assuming the student is suited for placement. Some students also plan for a master's, Ph.D., or some research program after getting a degree.
Remarks:
We have to get a good course in JEE Advance exam to get an addmission to this course. Well after getting good marks in jee Advance exam there is a jossa counseling through which you will select this college and after selecting the college they will provide the website of the college where we have to apply for the course and admission. They will also describe the process through the mail. Well, you will get rid of some part of the fees based on your father's annual income criteria just like MYSY. You can also apply for various scholarships after the first year of college by getting a good cgpa scores in the examination. You can also change your department after the first year based on a good cgpa like changing to the computer science department. The admission process is very good and easy I think there should be no change in it as of now.
Placement Experience:
From the third semester, students are eligible for placements. Some of the major recruiters are ICICI bank, Titan, Accenture, Deloitte etc. The offers made were 90+ The highest package is around 32 lakhs and the average is around 19 lakhs. 100% of students got placed. Go for the job.
