The placement cell is very proactive. Companies like management and software companies also participate. They have a 100% placement record. Getting a job is not a very difficult task here.  Categories Chemical Engineering at NIT Trichy Course Fee 5.65 lakh Placement Percentage 100% Highest CTC 21 LPA Average CTC 8-9 LPA Recruiting Companies ITC, P&G, ExxonMobil, Reliance, Schlumberger, St. Gobain, Thermax, etc. Chemical Engineering is an enjoyable course, only if you are interested in it. The seniors here are involved in a variety of things. They have internships in many of the highly reputed colleges both within and outside India. Because of their skills, they have been able to bag some really good placements and some of them have even got into really good colleges for their Masters. A lot depends on your attitude towards that particular subject and your communication skills. You should have leadership qualities. Assuming that you must have already gone through the essential details required for your decision as to your undergraduate course. Few points are being listed below to give you a better understanding of your area of concern. Faculty: The faculty at NIT Trichy is highly experienced and highly educated. One can say that they are proficient in their field of expertise. Some professors can give you a hard time but an easy college life would not be of much fun. Infrastructure & facilities: The labs are above average and a little outdated in comparison to other top-notch colleges in India. The lab assistants are however cooperative and are experienced. You will be allowed to use the labs of other departments. Internships: A majority of 50-60% of students manage to land internships during the beginning semesters. There are plenty of opportunities available and you will definitely experience things out of the box. The professors have excellent networking which you can surely make use of. Placements: You will be required to clear CTC (a system at NIT Trichy). If you clear it, you will eligible to apply for placements. The Chemical Engineering department consists of a low-class strength and the department has experienced over 95% placement rate. The companies visiting here are esteemed as well as some are startups. Higher Education: The brand name of NIT Trichy would help you in getting through some barriers in your future studies/career. It’s difficult to compare these branches or any other branches of engineering until and unless you specify the parameters of comparison. Scope, placements, future opportunities, etc., play an important role in differentiating the branches. Also, you should choose based on your interest and future goal while opting for a branch rather than on such parameters. Now, if you do not have any interest in any particular branch and like most of the students out there, are doing it for the B.Tech tag, you can opt for any of the branches. Both the branches at NIT Trichy are at par. You will get decent placement opportunities from both the branch, provided you maintain decent CGPA.
