UTKANSH, TechNITi, and Bharat Dhwani are the main 3 annual fests of our college. Bharat Dhwani is the annual celebration of the inauguration day of the college. TechNITi is the technical fest of the college and UTKANSH is the biggest Cultural Fest of our college. Due to Covid, there are a lot of variations in the month of these fests. If we talk about social life then it is amazing as you meet new people here and also can participate in different clubs or societies to get some more exposure. One can join any game in college like Football cricket athletics archery and many more as one's wishes. There are a lot of clubs like SPICE, RTist, Zeal, Pryaas, LADC, GDSC, Daksh, and many more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My rank was not so good that I was able to get a computer science course or similar and the subjects in this course seems to be very interesting to me. That's why I choose this course. 12 professors and associate professors are there in our course and also there are some other courses teachers who teach us. Almost faculty have Doctorates. As of now 2 minor exams and 1 end sem exam are there and the difficulty to pass the exam is based on your preparation as teachers set exams based on the content taught to students.

clubs here are nice ...tech clubs like spider delta, dance, singing, drama, management, graphic design and many more and being in the college basketball team I can say that sports teams are pretty nice even tho we lack funding from the admin but we manage for the most part, the library is full of books it's very helpful you can get up to 6 books at once (issue)soo, not a problem for the fest, we have September, pragyan(tech fest), nittfest, sportfete, etc it's very chilly during the fest the only con I face is the location pretty much sucks nothing is there outside the campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

well my reason for choosing this course has nothing to do with my interest as most of the students here would go into software-oriented firms, it's just my branch is a circuital branch and all the companies are open for us unlike the core branches faculty ratio is not something you should worry about it it really good tho the teaching is upto the mark but there is an issue due to the language barrier I suppose ...but it won't matter your not in school anymore what else did you expect

There is good placement in college but you have to improve or maintain your skills from the first year. you don't need to wait for 3rd or 4th yr just do start now. for the placement, your percentage should be more than 70 in classes 10,12, and in btech.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

PER YEAR THEY TAKE 56000 APPROX and for examination, they take 7500 per year. People get scholarships easily here, there is some hard work there but you can find it easily. They provide placement, and a person with good skills will get the job easily.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is the course that I got based on my jee percentile, so I chose this course. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:7, and this is the same for all the branches. All the faculty have doctorates, and to be frank, the teaching of a lot of faculties is not that great. They assume we know everything and don't do everything properly and give a lot of work without considering the mental health of students and this affects us a lot. Exams are also very much difficult and sometimes questions were given on some advanced topics which weren't even taught.

Campus Life:

Aaveg is the fest in which only first years can participate and teams are based on hostels and every hostel compete in all the games. Pragyan is another fest that is very popular for the amount of knowledge that one can gain through this fest and this fest is mainly based on educational workshops and competitions. There is another fest called September which happens in September where they will be many art and cultural competitions.

Our college has 3 fests, Pragyan which is a technical fest popular in South India, Festember a cultural fest and Nittfest a fest where competitions are conducted between branches. There is a very big central library available which has all the books and journals. Grounds for all sports are available and will be open all the time. There are around 20 clubs that are run only by students and include all the technical, cultural, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because it is a circuital branch where all companies will be opened for circuital branches. There are a total of 125 students in the branch with 18 faculty members. All the faculty have a minimum qualification of a Ph.D. and have good knowledge of the subject. In a semester each subject has 3 major exams(including 2 minor exams and 1 end sem) and 2 assignments.

The library is very vast. We get two books of our choice every semester and we have to return those books within that semester before the exams or after the exams. The classrooms are full of light and airy. Every year we have an annual sports fest in college. We have Google developer students club in our college. I am also a part of that club.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I had a great interest in engineering. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:10. That means every 10 students are under the supervision of a single faculty. Mostly all the faculty members are Ph.D. qualified. The difficulty level of the exam is very high and the semester exams are in every 6 months.

I am pursuing Btech from this college and currently, I am in 2nd year. I have opted instrumentation and control branch because this was something new for me and I want to explore this branch. Many faculties have completed their Mtech. Also, some of the faculties have completed their PhD. Before any semester exam, 2 /3 sessional exams are held which is really very beneficial.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fees of this college are really very affordable i.e. 58000/yr. Also, the examination fee is around 8000 per year. Most of the students get scholarships from the UP government and there is a national scholarship also for students who are not from UP. For the past 2-3 years, campus placement is going better. On average, campus placement is 6- 7 lakhs /annum.

NSUT campus is a very beautiful campus among so many colleges. It is a lush green campus where you can see peacocks at everywhere on lawns. It has a variety of flowers and trees. We have two annual fests named Resonance and moksha. They are winter and summer fest respectively. NSUT also organizes north India's biggest hackathon organized by IEEE NSUT. The library is very huge where you can get enough books related course curriculum and magazines too. The classrooms are quite big and lavish. In tech, we have IEEE, DEVCOMM, GDSC, etc. Drama society - Ashwamedh, Dance society - capella and mirage, and many more societies. The best society of NSUT is canvas-the fine arts society of NSUT. You just bring your interest and we have a society for you.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is a bit old and the faculty members are mostly good some of them are cooperative too but all are not. ICE is a very nice and oldest branch of NSUT. Student-to-faculty ratio is 1:40. Faculty members are Ph.D. scholars and they teach very well. Exams are held twice a semester and they are quite easy to pass.

I first got admission to the textile technology branch but as I wanted to experience electrical branches I applied for branch change after the completion of the first year, where I got promoted to the ICE branch. The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1:20 at NIT Jalandhar though faculty is unable to pay attention to every student but they entertain their every doubt. Every faculty is highly qualified to educate students as they are PhDs. Every semester we attempt 2 minors and 1 major exam, at intervals of a month to precious.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose my course which is Bachelor of Technology - Instrumentation and Control Engineering (B.Tech - ICE) because it is a well-established and reputated course of NSUT (which is also a prestigious institute in the country). The course involves the core work around electrical and electronics networks and using necessary instruments to control the behaviour of those networks. The student ratio in my class is around 68 boys and 12 girls which is decent considering the average case in Engineering colleges. The faculty of the college is highly qualified with many of them holding a Ph.D. degree in their respective fields from the best institutes of the country with extensive work in their research fields. They possess great knowledge about the courses they teach and will always resolve your doubts. The teaching method is specific to each teacher but all are equally effective. We have Mid-Semester Exams and End-Semester Exams in a semester and the question paper is of high quality so it's hard.

Campus Life:

The college and the campus life at NSUT are amazing. Firstly, because of the beautiful, lush green campus that spreads over 145 acres of land. Students can enjoy their time on campus in different spots. NSUT conducts 3 annual fests: Moksha (The cultural fest, also the biggest of them), Innovision (The technical fest, which is organized alongside Moksha), and, Resonance (The winter fest, intra-college cultural fest). The college consists of various societies and clubs ranging from one important topic to another. So, you should be able to find a society that matches your interest. These societies also frequently conduct events in which you can participate. Such events provide you with opportunities to improve your skills and grow as a person.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually, the course curriculum in our college is quite good. And my branch is instrumentation and control engineering which is a circuital branch. And hence it is the best possible branch that I could get here .so I chose it. And joining here I can say it is one of the top 4 branches in nit Trichy followed by cse, ece, eee. our faculty are very good and experienced and we have lots of work to learn ourselves. Because the faculty won't say everything in class just they want to make us learn ourselves. There will be 2 term exams will be conducted for every semester within a month gap between them. And it is not that difficult to pass but the scoring top is quite difficult here.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fee structure of nit Trichy is high when compared to other nits as it is a top nit and it is to develop in its research projects. it costs around 1,20000 to 1,50000 per semester. with including tuition fees the reservation candidate can be free from tuition fees. everyone in college is to avail to apply for scholarships like nsp and ffe. The sc and st students are better to apply nsp for scholarships they can get around 40000 per year. And other category students are better to apply ffe as it is a private one it depends on the capability of their interview process which is conducted by them online. Campus placement is very good here the avg package is 15 lakhs here.

Ques. How are the Instrumentation & Control engineering placements in NIT Trichy?

● Top Answer By Shreyansh Patil on 02 Sept 21

Ans. Instrumentation and Control engineering of NIT Trichy is a tremendously demanding branch. I have a few friends from NIT Trichy and according to them, the department is great. Except for a few of the faculties the faculty members are cooperative.  In fact, in this branch, you will be exposed to a very healthy learning procedure. Most essentially, the department of Instrumentation and Control engineering has a broad and diversified curriculum. You can ask some of the alumni members to walk you through the subjects, electives, curriculum, and other relevant areas of concern. Read more

Ques. Which would be a better choice, instrumentation in BITS Goa campus or instrumentation at NIT Trichy?

● Top Answer By Vineet Kumar Singh on 24 Aug 21

Ans. There is nothing called instrumentation engineering. The students usually study the syllabus of the electronic branch that includes learning low-level languages along with the complete command of them.  There is a very high demand for highly skilled engineers who know the top programming languages like TopCoder, GitHub, and many more.  Learning these languages totally depends upon the person that they can do without going to college. Becoming an electronics engineer totally depends upon the person, and their effort, not the college.  Some of the students follow the GATE syllabus to enter into the government sectors.  Some get recruitment in top private companies by learning these programming languages. The college can help you out only by giving a proper study environment that can promote your overall development.  If you wish to join the private sector, then only the placement facility provided by the college is useful to you. Categories Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering at BITS Goa Instrumentation and Control Engineering at NIT Trichy Course Fee 19.19 lakh 5.65 lakh Highest CTC 24 LPA 22 LPA Average CTC 12 LPA 10-11 LPA Recruiting Companies Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Western Digital, JP Morgan, etc. TCS, Infosys, Reliance, Morgan Stanley, etc. Last but not least we can say that the college for the instrumentation branch is the version of the electronics branch of engineering. It totally depends on you how much effort you are putting into the same and not depend on the college.Read more

Ques. How is ICE at NIT Trichy?

● Top Answer By Raya Das on 24 Mar 21

Ans. My brother is a recent graduate of Instrumentation and Control Engineering at NIT Trichy, so let me share some facts about its overall performance.  There are some pros and cons of the department which include: Pros: Vibration control research in ICE at Nit Trichy is really good. Robotics, Control, and Electronics are also good for pursuing your graduate studies. Career/ Job aspects across a variety of profiles are accessible for ICE graduates in campus placements. Seniors help a lot with academics. You will be trained to work under pressure. Classrooms are neat and have a great environment. No uniform is required for entering the labs. Categories ICE at NIT Trichy Course Fee 5.65 lakh Placement Percentage 80-90% Highest CTC 20 LPA Average CTC 12 LPA Recruiting Companies Tech Mahindra, TCS, Texas Instruments, JP Morgan, etc. Cons: There are only 11 faculties in the department out of which only two faculties teach properly.  Labs are not up-to-the-mark. Most of the electronics components don’t work properly. The guidance is inadequate. Assignments provide little help. Due to continuous fests in the college, it might be difficult to concentrate on your studies. Like every college, there should be 4 classes per week, but here in ICE, the faculty members tend to keep 6-8 classes per week with students attending the classes just for the attendance. Subjects like PDD, Engineering Mechanics, and Analytical Instrumentation are taken for granted.  If you are really interested in Instrumentation, only then you should join this department. Otherwise, join some other branch in NIT T so that you are able to learn something.Read more

Ques. How is Instrumentation and Control engineering in NIT Trichy?

● Top Answer By Shaheena Sheikh on 06 Sept 21

Ans. For understanding the several factors relevant to the institute, you should know both the advantages and disadvantages that are in favor of you. Thus, here is a detailed breakdown of every aspect you should know about NIT Trichy.  Instrumentation and Control Engineering (ICE) at NIT Trichy -  The placement ratio of the branch is really high.  Students can have multiple opportunities in both circuital and non-circuital engineering fields.  The faculty of NIT Trichy is extremely cooperative and helpful for students pursuing their higher education. Moreover, there is a lesser number of credits, unlike many other departments, helping students have free time. Thus, it can lead students to pursue their hobbies, alongside education. Most essentially, it escalates students to acquire a good rank in GATE, leading them to secure positions in top PSUs.  Besides, it inculcates advanced interdisciplinary engineering, making it convenient for students to secure positions at top foreign universities.  Categories ICE at NIT Trichy Course Fee 6.65 lakhs Highest CTC 28 LPA Average CTC 12-16 LPA Recruiting Companies Qualcomm, Morgan Stanely, Accenture, Flipkart, etc. The major disadvantage to talk about is, It can degrade your performance if you lag behind, during study hours. There is no other significant drawback of neither the branch nor the institute. So opting for this course can be a good step.Read more

Ques. How good is studying IC from Nirma University?

● Top Answer By Shriya Rathod on 05 Jul 21

Ans. One of my friends studied at the IT branch but has little idea about the IC branch. But, when compared to DAIICT, Nirma University is the best place to study if you have firmly established goals and would like to work for them. The management is really good but it is a strict college that might give few school vibes. At Nirma, you will learn a lot about discipline, good manners, and management while having a good college life and a great career if you are not planning to do your Masters in foreign universities. They have a diverse student population. If you can afford the fee at Nirma University, my advice to you would be to go ahead and secure your seat. Categories Instrumentation and Control Engineering at Nirma University Course Fee 7.24 lakh Highest CTC 8-12 LPA Average CTC 4.5 - 7.5 LPA Recruiting Companies Adani Power, Reliance, TCS, ZS Associates, etc. The computer department is very well established as far as faculty is concerned. A few classmates who studied in IC are also quite happy with the branch.Read more

● Top Answer By Saloni Mohan on 07 Aug 21

Ans. Thapar University in all aspects is a lot better than JIIT. But I am not quite aware of the EIC branch. You can interact with ex-students of the institute online, to get a better idea about the course. If you think it will be a better choice, go for it. According to placements, Thapar is much better than JIIT Noida. Most of the companies that participate in Thapar’s placement program are well reputed like Microsoft, Infosys, and many more. Thapar provides a better industrial exposure to their students. After graduating from Thapar you can opt for both government and private sectors.
