Eligibility is jee mains exam Rank. Application forms are available on NTA's website. the application fee is 500rs. application dates- Sept and Feb. I got an OBC reservation and there are other reservations like EWS, ST, and SC. Exams should be transparent.
Student is become eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester onwards. Companies like Amazon, Trilogy, Samsung, Reliance, Maruti etc visit the campus. Almost 95% + of students get a campus placement. I plan to work and gain experience after getting the degree.
You get into NIT Jalandhar by securing a rank in the JEE Mains exam. Being a general category male candidate, I had to achieve a rank of 9925 (percentile 99.15) to get into the IT Branch. CSE is ranked further high, starting from ranks of about 7000. The admission process was conducted by Jossa and hence, was quite smooth.
Two months internship is compulsory after the sixth semester. Companies do visit for two months of internships but the scenario is not that good companies don't prefer two months of interns. But the campus placements are good. All major tech giants like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon do visit our campus for the placement and they allow circuital branches to sit in their recruitment drive. Avg package is around 16 LPA with the highest package from the ECE branch in the IT company. Core placements are also improving. Around 90% of ECE students get placed every year.
I wrote JEE Mains exams of 2020 and got AIR of 13727. Through this, I availed Gen Other state seat in special rounds and got into the institution. I got into the course of Electronic and Communication Engineering. You must have equal to or greater than 75% in 12th board. Admission process was fully online due to pandemic COVID 19.
The course curriculum is very good and as per the latest GATE syllabus. The teachers are also very helpful and supportive. They are experts in their respective fields. All the faculty members are PhD holders from good colleges. The exams are conducted 3 times per semester two minors and one major.
The admission was processed by national level entrance test JEE mains. The cutoff for the ECE branch for the general category was 99%ile and 98%ile. There were 50% seats reserved for homes state and there are also seats reserved for sc/st, obc and ews
The campus placements are quite well most of the students from top-tier branches get good placements. Many MNCs like Amazon, Intuit, Google, Microsoft, etc. came for campus hiring. If I talk about my branch (ECE) the placement percentage is 90-95%. For CSE it's almost 100%.
To get admission to NIT Jalandhar one has to give JEE Mains exams which is a national-level entrance test for engineering. In 2020 the cutoff for General EWS candidates for the ECE branch was 97 percentile. The admission was done after the counseling through JOSAA. The admission process was very smooth.
I have choose Computer science engineering because I have deeply interested in coding, because I have coding subject in 10+12 , The faculty and students ratio is very good it will be approximately 1:20. Most of the faculty members are B.tech, M.tech, or P.hd but some of the humanities teachers are also there He /she have qualifications B.sc/M.sc and P.hd Here three exams happened in a single semester two minor exams and one is major exam it will difficult or not depending upon the faculty mood.
For admission in nit Jalandhar you should qualify for the jee main examination with a good percentile of at least 95+, and you should pass 10+12 with a 75% minimum, and top 20 percent in the board exams. You can find applications on the Nta website two times in a single year, fees will be 1000 for the general/OBC category or sc/st/female candidates for 800, and reservation benefits work as per government rules.
The placements of Nit Jalandhar are very good. Companies offer students right from the second year mainly for cse/ece branch and from the third year for other branches' internships and the majority get the PPO(Pre-Placement Offer). Right from before starting the 7th sem companies offer the job. For the mechanical branch, nit jalandhar is quite famous. Every batch gets 80%+ students placed and the rest do prepare for abroad mtech or other options. Till now in February, my car is placed 80%+ students. Companies like Honda 2 wheeler, honda cars, maruti suzuki, Suzuki motors, ashok leyland, Oceaneering, BPCL, Reliance, HMEL, Aarti, Ciarn Oil, BEL, Techniq, Flipkart, etc many more companies. The highest Package is 17.5Lpa by Bpcl and the Average is around 8 LPA. Many students plan to get a job for industry experience and then majorly prepare gate or go abroad for a master's.
To get into any Nit, one should have a minimum of 75% marks for GEN/OBC AND 60% for SC/ST in the 12th class. One need to qualify the Jee main paper available at jee mains .nta.nic.in site. After an exam and attaining a good number according to your rank, one gets the choice to fill the choice of their branches like cse, ece etc and josaa counselling decided to allot you the branch. After all that you need to visit campus to verify all documents. Verification of documents can be done online to get ease to students from different states.
Placements this season was pretty good, better than in previous years. A lot of different companies came for recruitment, be it companies for core jobs or non-core jobs. Stats are available on the official site.
So, I wrote down JEE-Mains exam of 2019 and cleared the cut-off pretty easily. To get into this course of Mechanical Engineering at NIT- Jalandhar, I got an AIR of 27000(approx), availed the OBC reservation seat and got into the institution. The application form, details about the fees and the procedure are all available on the official site of NITJ, i.e., nitj.ac.in. The admission process was way too hectic as you had to go through all the counters and procedures, all manually, that could be done digitally easily. Rest everything was okay.
If we discuss the placement percentage then the student which are in their 7th semester are eligible for the placement seasons, currently, placement season is going on and more than 70 percent of students are already placed, companies like maruti suzuki, EXL , Trident, Amazon, Microsoft, Google are the top recruiter companies of our college which provide the highest package of 25 lahks to mechanical engineering students and median package is 8 lakh per annum and the lowest package is 4 lakh per annum, more than 85 percent students get placement in our college, After B.Tech I'm thinking to prepare for the Civil services exam because It gave me a boost in life and helps me to become financial Independent.
To get admission into Mechanical Engineering at NIT Jalandhar then you have to give the JEE Maina Exam, If you get more than 94 percentile in OBC Category then you easily get admission to my college, you need to apply for JEE Mains online on the official website of NTA, application form release in the month of September and application fee for general and OBC category is 1200 INR, seats for OBC category is reserved in my college you get 10 percent reservation in my college If you belongs to the OBC category, the admission procedure is very good to get into NIT Jalandhar I don't want any improvement in the admission process because already NTA is conducting JEE Exam in a very fair manner.
Students in the CSE branch start getting placed at the end of the third year and the beginning of 4th year for other branches. The percentage of students placed varies with the department that they belong to. The 2023 batch in the chemical engineering department has around 90 percent of students placed currently and other students haven't applied for placement for other reasons such as GATE, UPSC, and M.Tech. A very large number of companies visit the campus both core and non-core such as Google, Amazon, Samsung, reliance, violin, Deloitte, KPMG, TATA, hp, dell, etc.
I am a student enrolled in the B.Tech program of NIT Jalandhar, so that is the course I will be talking about. I applied through JEE MAINS and I received a Chemical branch in the college. The cutoff for Chemical engineering was around 40000 during my year. The College is an NIT, and like any other government institute, the admission process is done by JoSAA and CSAB. The eligibility criteria are based on the ranking system of JEE MAINS. The institute also offers reservation benefits to students belonging to SC, ST, OBC, and Home state( Punjab), as well as to Female students. So, one can always look for past year cutoffs and eligibility criteria for various categories for an application. The application dates, fees, and form can be found on JEE MAIN website and further information can be found on the NIT Jalandhar website. The admission process is very smooth and has been the same over these few years, so one can always find information on how to apply over Google and YouTube.
To get admission into Dr. B.R. National Institute of Technology you have to take the jee mains examination and then after securing a good percentile, you can get into this college. For the General category, you have to get a minimum 99 percentile for the CSE branch and for the textile you have to get at least 95 percentile.
CYBy - Chetan YirangI got admission to this college through an entrance exam which Jee mains i.e. Joint entrance examination, at my time there were no cut off criteria, otherwise there is a criteria of min. 75% in the jee mains. The application form, application fee information and application dates are all these information you will find on the official site of Jee Mains. The reservation benefits vary from year to year.
