NIT Jalandhar PhD Admission Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s & Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of Engineering and Technology with a minimum of 60% aggregate.
OR
- Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of Engineering and/or Technology with a minimum of 6.5 on a 10 point scale.
NIT Jalandhar Ph.D Admission Criteria
The application process and selection criteria of the institute includes the following points. These are listed below:
- The candidate’s admissions to various full time and part time PhD courses are considered twice every year in their choice of field/specialization and if the person is willing to apply for 2 separate specializations, they can apply separately.
- The admission in Ph.D course is through ‘presentation’ followed by ‘interaction’ which is conducted by the Department head.
- Selections of candidates (apart from GATE/NET scores) are conducted by the ‘Departmental Admission Committee for the presentation and interaction session.
- For this selection purpose, a screening test is conducted in which if a candidate scores more than 40% (24 out of 60 for General) and 35% (21 out of 60 for reserved) marks then he is considered for the presentation and interaction session.
- A list of selected students is released and they can confirm their admissions by submitting the fees.

NIT Jalandhar PhD Admission July 2023 Application Process
- Visit the Official website of the Institue to fill the application process.
- A Rs.1000/- application fee (Rs.500/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates) must be paid online.
- Candidates must apply online and there is no need to send a hard copy of the application form to the Institute.
