Course wise electrical is a very philosophical subject where one needs a very clear understanding of concepts before starting any numerical, professors here are actually very good in terms of knowledge but a normal individual may find it hard to grasp them due to the enormous difference in level of knowledge and communication gap
At this rank the best college I was getting was MANIT, Bhopal thereby I took this course. The ratio would be I suppose 15:135 Teaching method is good and teachers are highly qualified for their jobs Every second month we had exams and the difficulty was moderate
I chose this because I wanted to opt for a reputed old college and didn't want to go less than an electrical branch so manit, SVNIT, etc. were my options but this time around manit has performed exceptionally well in terms of placements even electrical average in 2023 was a whopping 14.8 lpa and median 13.49. Regardless gender ratio is around 1:6 and the faculty is quite bad paired with a lot of restrictions and of course the ragging culture you're gonna be in a bit of a pain but still you'll start loving the college in just some time.
I chose this course i.e. electrical engineering because I want to pursue my career in the government sector and electrical being a diverse branch offers many opportunities in public sector units. The faculty-student ratio is almost 1:100. The faculties are highly qualified having a strong academic background of MTech and PhD. The teaching method is quite good. The first-semester end-term examinations are scheduled in December and I have yet to attend them so I cannot comment on the evaluation process and grading system but I have heard from seniors that it will be a cakewalk if you follow the professor's notes religiously.
I have selected the Electrical branch as I'm not very interested in desk work and wanted some fieldwork. Talking about the faculty-student ratio there is one faculty over every 70 students in the class. The faculties of MANIT are highly qualified and many professors have an experience of more than 20 years. And many of them have received the letter of appreciation from big universities. The term examination occurs every 1.5 months and they are not that tough to pass and can be passed by studying one night before.
