Ans. The candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST/PwD categories).

Ques. Is IIM Indore PGP-HRM offered in distance learning?

Ans. No, PGP-HRM is not offered via distance education. It is a two-year, full-time programme offered at the campus.

Ques. What is the selection process for IIM Indore PGP-HRM?

Ans. After the fulfillment of the minimum eligibility criteria, candidates are required to appear for a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) for the final selection procedure. However, due to ongoing pnademic WAT is removed from the selection process and interview is conducted online.

Ques. Are final year students eligible for admission into IIM Indore PGP-HRM?

Ans. Final year students can appear for the CAT exam and subsequently take admission in the programme if they fulfill all the necessary requirements. However, they will be admitted provisionally and will have to submit the required documents before the date specified by IIM Indore.

The journey through Planet-I

I chose this program because IIM Indore is one of the topmost colleges in the country. The PGP-HRM course is extremely well structured and covers a lot of subjects that are relevant to the current scenario. Subjects such as Competency Frameworks, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Compensation & Benchmarking, HR Analytics, etc. are taught to us by a few of the best faculty in the country. All the faculty here are PhDs from one of the top 6 IIMs of the country and are excellent in their knowledge as well as teaching. The method used here is a discussion with a combination of presentations, cases, and another plethora of methods that are beneficial for the students. The faculty: student ratio is around 1:12. Exams are conducted for each term promptly, with in-class quizzes depending on the professor. The questions in the examinations are usually learning and application based, hence if a person has understood the concepts well, they would be able to score good marks.

HR has been a very interesting subject for me as a philosophy student so I thought doing MBA in HRM would be perfect IIM Indore is a brand so no question of not doing it from here. The batch is quite diverse and the ratio is 1:40. Faculty is top-notch and very experienced. Case study teaching is there which gives a lot of practical lessons. The curriculum and assessment are very structured and good.

Fun and Crunch at IIM Indore

IIM Indore offers a full-time two-year Post Graduate Program in Human Resource Management (PGP HRM). I have a prior work experience in HR Consulting which made it an easy choice to go for this course. At IIM Indore there is an abundance of good faculties. The approx student to faculty ratio is 8:1. Faculties are mostly Ph.D. holders with an extensive teaching background. Not only this, they are constantly involved in consulting projects, Case study writing, and Research projects and have published multiple books in different domains. The teaching method followed at IIM Indore is case-based and experiential learning with relevant real-life examples as well. There are multiple courses in the curriculum that gives exposure to the real-world including Rural Engagement Program, Industry Program, Himalayan Outbound Program, etc. In one year there are 3 terms. Each term has a mid-term exam, an end-term exam, surprise quizzes, assignments, and class participation marks.

Seeing IIM Indore through the eyes of an HR student

The PGP-HRM program is a full-time two-year postgraduate program in HRM. During the 1st year, the participants have courses in HR, some standard courses with the PGP batch, and a rural engagement program. As the program progresses towards terms 2 and 3, the courses standard with PGP decreases, and core HR courses increase. The second year focuses on specialized courses and industry projects. The batch has 39 students and 12 faculty in the OB-HRM area. The student-faculty ratio is very good because of the small strength of the batch. Most of the faculty are IIM Graduates and all of them are Ph.D. holders. The teaching methods used are case-based discussions, classroom activities, learning through videos, group, and individual assignments, writing research papers, and classroom ppts. Usually, terms 1 and 2 are difficult with two exams conducted on the same day but it is not that difficult to pass. From term 3 onwards, it becomes quite chill as the course credits decrease from 33 to 23.
