RIDDHI RAGHUVANSHI's Review On Indian Institute Of Management - [IIM], Indore | collegedunia.com

Life as HRM student at IIM INDORE

Remarks :

CAT exam and an undergraduate degree are the eligibility. You can fill out the CAT form from the CAT website. It is during September mostly. And exam happens in November after qualifying for the cut-off through PI you get the final offer Letter. Ews and other reservations are there. No improvement

Course Curriculum Overview :

HR has been a very interesting subject for me as a philosophy student so I thought doing MBA in HRM would be perfect IIM Indore is a brand so no question of not doing it from here. The batch is quite diverse and the ratio is 1:40. Faculty is top-notch and very experienced. Case study teaching is there which gives a lot of practical lessons. The curriculum and assessment are very structured and good.

Internships Opportunities :

From Deloitte to KPMG a lot of companies come to the campus for recruitment. Various roles are provided from generalist to specific domain and management trainee. The process is smooth but stressful for all.

Placement Experience :

There are two rounds of placement one is a summer internship and 2nd the final placement. Summer internship happens in 1st term itself and the final placement is in Jan. The placements are quite good and everyone gets a fair chance.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee is at par with other IIMS and I took an education loan which was easily available in the college itself as the SBI branch is there on the campus, and there are a lot of scholarships given to students on need-based and merit-based systems.

Campus Life :

Very good campus life. 190 acres campus with lush green landscape. I5 fest is there, Atharva is an annual fest and we have a very big library system. Every possible facility is available from the gym to mess to night mess, all sports activities are taken care of with sports stadium. A lot of clubs and committees are there which provide PORs to students.

Hostel Facilities :

Fully residential program. Single room occupancy given. Quite big room with study table and bed and almirah. Common washroom but clean and hygienic. Janitors come daily and proper fresh water availability with electricity 24hrs.

Interview Experience :

There was one PI round. I was asked various questions related to my under graduation subject, HR-based, situational, and general questions. It was a whole balanced interview and went for 20 minutes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course as with any other MBA course is hectic. Term 1 will be more of a SIP preparation time. Everyone is concerned about that. Term 2 is academics-heavy. The faculties are top-notch and helpful. We can ask everything after the class also.
