IIT Patna B.Tech Basic Requirements:

  • If any student fails to score a CPI of 5.0 at the end of the semester, he/she can be terminated. The students can get permission to continue on recommendation of DAPC and approval of IAPC.
  • In order to qualify the B. Tech degree a student is required to have 280-300 credit
  • No student will normally have more than six lecture-based courses and four laboratory courses in a semester. However, in special cases, a student may be permitted to take seven lecture-based courses subjected to the recommendation of DAPC
  • In addition to completion of regular credit every student shall have to complete the requirements of Extra Academic Activities (EAA) during the first four semesters.
