Aayush Ranade Review at Northumbria University, Newcastle Upon Tyne | Collegedunia

Peer Review of Northumbria

The course was well structured and the university had a good reputation.

Course Curriculum :

The course was well structured and was covering all the topics which gives you deep learning of them and then labs help you to use it in practical.

Exams :

My IELTS score was 7. Minimum requirements in all 4 sections was 6.5 and overall also should be minimum 7.

Placement :

2:10. Culture here is bit different, you need to apply by yourself from Linkedln, Indeed and other job hunting sites. Though there is a placment cell, many students get jobs from there as well. Its just that you need to be at the right place at the right time.

Internship :

Yes, I did an internship for 6 months a Green White Sice. They used to give stipend but because of COVID they were not giving.

Fees :

The total fees was £18,000 for the course, got an scholarship of £3000 which reduced the total fees to £15,000. 1st year : £6,000 2nd year : £9,000

Scholarship :

I got a scholarship of £3000.

Faculty :

All the faculty and staff are very helpful. You get a personal tutor who is always there for you either it could be your personal, academic or any other sort of problem. All of them are very helpful.

Campus Life :

Everything is great like campus, infrastrucure. University do conduct events, and many extracurricular activities. There is a sports central which is having facility to play many sports like basketball, tennis, swimming, gym and many more.

Hostel :

I rented a house with my 4 friends which drastically reduced our expenses. My rent was £270, bills £60, and grossery depends on your eating habits.
