Remarks :
To gain admission to DU, you have to take the Cuet entrance exam. The exams typically contain questions from class 12th NCERT and the registration process usually starts around March- April. The UGC did a great job in conducting the cuet exam this year, although there were some technical difficulties during my term overall it was a great effort. The cut-off for the north campus colleges usually goes high but it's not that difficult.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As a confused PCB student who has an equal attitude and interest towards each subject, I found it difficult to choose one subject over another. So I opted for this course so that I can maintain my passion and interest. The faculty of this college is great. Around 1 teacher is teaching about 15 students. The faculty keenly solves your doubts and maintains a strict, fair but friendly attitude towards each student. You might feel intimidated at first but soon they will become your best friends. All of the teachers have a different approach and attitude towards study so some might not show as much interest as you would expect but they are always helping you in one way or another. The term exams usually occur every 4 months and they are really easy to pass if one regularly attends classes.
Placement Experience :
The students become eligible for internship after the first year. I don't have the exact idea of the companies that visited the campus last year but I have heard from our seniors that the highest offer made was around 7 lakhs. My plan after the degree is to pursue higher studies in a discipline.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee hike is true. There's been about a 1000rs fee hike since last year. Usually, you won't have to spend much on books since the teachers provide you with books in pdf forms and you can also visit the library for more reference. There's also an online DU library. DU provides opportunities and financial aid to students with weak financial backgrounds. There are many scholarships. For more info, you can visit DU's official website. There are not many marks-based scholarships. Our college doesn't provide any internship opportunities. But DU has its own VC internship programme.
Campus Life :
All DU colleges held a fest around the start of the year. This fest season usually ends around February. It's an enjoyable experience. We have a DJ night and many cultural performances too. The library usually has all the books from authors but they are a bit of old edition. The campus has many sports club and supports students to participate in extracurricular. The faculty also encourages students to take part in it. The college also has many societies ranging from environmental society, drama, fashion, culture, dance, music and NCC. You can visit the official website of the college for detailed information about these societies.
