Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo Vedic College (PGDAV) is a constituent college of University of Delhi. It is a co-educational and an NAAC accredited college. PGDAV offers 13 Undergraduate programmes taught by 12 departments in the fields of Arts, Commerce, Computer Science, and Mathematical Sciences. PGDAV College also offers Postgraduate courses in Commerce, Hindi, Mathematics and Political Sciences. Admission into the UG programme is now based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), followed by e-counseling. For admissions into the PG courses candidates are required to appear for the DUET entrance examination which is conducted by the Delhi University as well.

PGDAV has an established placement cell which trains the students for future job opportunities. This placement cell is also responsible for bringing top companies into the college for better internships and jobs prospectus for the students. The 2022 placement drive conducted by the PGDAV College was a great success with more than 25 companies such as Amazon, HCL, Wirpo, etc. participating in the programme. The highest salary package offered was INR 23 LPA & the average package stood at INR 5.86 LPA.

PGDAV College Admission Process 2023

PGDAV college offers numerous UG courses with different specializations. Admission to these courses are based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score. Candidates can apply via the online registration method from the official website @cuet.samarth.ac.in. The application fees for CUET is INR 600 for the general category and INR 550 for SC/ST/PWbD/ category.

Admission to Delhi University UG Programme will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s CUET score followed by e-counselling.
Candidates are required to register for e-counselling via the online platform. E-counselling will contain 2 rounds where students will be able to choose the college that they want to opt for.
Students will be granted admission into DU Colleges based on their CUET scores.
Sports and Extracurricular Activities Candidates will be required to appear for a performance test along with the CUET entrance examinations.
Selection of candidates for ECA will be made on a combination of CUET examination score and the candidate’s performance test.
Candidates must have a minimum of 25 percent score on their CUET and a minimum of 75 percent score on their performance test.

PGDAV College PG Admission process

PGDAV College offers 4 PG courses: M.A/M.Sc Math, M.A Hindi, M.Com, M.A Political Science. Each course has a specific amount of seats allotted by the college. Admission to the PG courses are granted as per the DUET examination score. Candidates who wish to seek admission to the PG courses can apply via the online portal by creating a login ID and password. Candidates will be required to pay a fee of INR 500 for each application.

PGDAV College Application Process

Candidates who wish to apply for PGDAV College can do so in the following ways:

Candidates are required to register through the University of Delhi admission portal and click on the UG/PG portal.
Candidates will have to register through their Email ID and phone number. Candidates will then receive an OTP which they will have to fill in order to fill the admission form.
Relevant documents as per the application form need to be scanned and uploaded.
Candidates will then have to pay the application fee via net banking or credit card.
Candidates will then be able to submit the application form.
Candidates will be required to appear at the University of Delhi for verification of their certificates as per the schedule announced by the college.

PGDAV College Scholarships

To help the needy and meritorious students meet their education requirements, PGDAV College, Delhi offers various scholarships.
A Fee Concession is provided to needy students and outstanding sportsmen. The continuance of this concession shall be based on good behavior, regular attendance, and satisfactory progress in studies.
An application for the same can be made on the prescribed form which shall be available from the college office once the notice is put up. Fee concession shall not be given for self-financing courses.

Library: PGDAV has more than 85,000 books, journals, periodicals and reference materials on diverse fields.
Classrooms: PGDAV has smart classrooms containing ceiling mounted projectors along with roll down screens. It has built a new academic block recently containing 16 big classrooms and 12 small rooms.

Admission:

Eligibility for the course is based on your board's results. The registration forms are rolled out after the results And then cut off are declared a few days later and thereafter according to the cutt of students get the college. Application forms can be found on the Delhi University website. Admission fees are negligible.

The course curriculum is as per the university guidelines. The faculty is well qualified with most professors being Ph.D. in their respective fields, their teaching methods are basic but interactive. Examinations are held every semester

When I completed my 12th and I get my result I get 77 Percentage in 12th and I was started searching for regular du collage at that time du started releasing the cut off and I got addmission under the Pgdav collage in the bcom hons course

I chose bcom hons because I am interested in things like accounting, management,e commerce etc. The student ratio in collage i think boys is double of girls in counting Teacher and their teaching skills are great Du conduct exams after the period of 6 months in every year

After the 12th I want to take admitted is the Bcom Hons course and the requirement for admission is according to the cut of DU I found the admission form for DU on the ug portal of the Delhi University there is some deduction for sc, st and OBC in the cut-off

I choose this because I want to learn about human resource management, income tax, e-commerce etc. girls and boys ratio in my college is 1:2 there are good teachers with great communication skills the term exams are conducted after every 6 months

Good. College

The eligibility for the course was earlier on the basis of board marks but now it's all on the basis of cuet. In which one has to go through the exam conducted by nta annually. Reservation benefits are given to various categories like sc , st ,obc. Ews. You can find the application details on nta website.

The course curriculum is very nice quantitative and very interesting too. The faculty owes good qualifications and a vast understanding, the teaching method is very interactive as they have vast experience. Exams are very regular. As it's under DU.

PGDAVs HONEST REVIEW FOR POLITICAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT

Well in my time, there was no entrance exam so I don't know much about the entrance exam of the NEP. You can register the application form for DU at the DU portal. And the fee structure is also given there at the DU portal only.

I've chosen this course so that it could help me in my UPSC PREPARATION. And I was impressed by the faculties of PGDAV COLLEGE for this course. They not only teach you regarding the exam perspective but develops mental thinking which not only helps us in UPSC but in our life too. Although there are many students in our batch. But all the faculties of our department are really good. The classes are much smaller as we have many students in our batch but it is much worth it as we are having teachers who helped us in developing our minds and motivate us.

A good review from a good person

My admission got selected on the basis of merit, I found the application form on the delhi University official site, and there is 1%recession for girls in some colleges, also OBC, SC, and ST have some recession compared to the general category

I chose history honours, from beginning I was sure about taking history as my bachelor's degree, history excites me to learn new things, learn about the past and interlink it with the present, history always helps me in personal growth my second thought was that it will help me in my civil services preparation. in my faculty, there is one thing I really love out of 66 students, there is 33 female student which is as equal to the male students, there we found equality in a realistic manner. Here in my college teachers are really good, and teach in a very friendly manner teachers are very helpful they are literally available for us 24/7 ... Exams really stressed us in 1st semester because we were just passed out from school, but gradually exams are now not that hectic, it is really easy to pass if you are reading consistently

College life is the best time of the life for students

It was cut off based on admission. The application form is available on the website and fees were submitted online on application dates and other information was provided through online mode. Reservation benefits are there like a percentage less for the girl child, etc.

I love reading books and I'm very fond of literature so I chose this course. The student ratio is quite equal but there are girls more as compared to boys students. The faculty is so helpful well qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching method is easy lectures are provided of whole syllabus in an easy manner. Semester exams are there and it is quite easy to pass if you study well.

In my batch i.e. 2021 after the lockdown, the admission procedure was based on merit i.e. aggregate of the best four subjects in your class XII, but now the procedure has been completely changed and the admission is taking place through the entrance exam which is CUET. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate and one should start preparing for the exam for at least 1 year. The admission is based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the exam. The procedure after the exam is completely online and takes place through the official UG admission portal of Delhi University. As far as reservations are concerned, OBC SC ST and Ews are given benefits in admission.

Bachelor in Commerce is a decent course. In this course, you get a decent knowledge of interesting subjects. Mostly the subjects are related to management, laws, and accounting. If you are looking for a course that is about management and you don't want a hectic schedule then this is surely what you are looking for. The faculty is great and lenient. A lot of exposure is given to the students at Delhi University. All the teachers are appointed based on entrance called UG NET.

The admission process was done online due to the lockdown. I have not given any entrance exam. I have applied on the Delhi University website for admission to my college. After the acceptance of my application, I was able to take admission.

I choose my course because I have to do a Master's after B.Com. Our college faculty is good. Most of the teachers at our college have done their masters in their subjects. It was not difficult to pass anything.

PGDAV College with the biggest canteen of DU.

The admission process was smooth as butter. The application form was easily available on DU's website. Admission was based on the class 12th percentage. Since the college falls under South Campus the cut-off was decent.

I chose BA English Hons because of the many opportunities ahead with the subject. The faculty here in the college is amazing as they are selected by the DU administration. We have semester exams in every 6 months and if studied well it's easy to pass.
