Remarks :

The admission process is done via JOSAA COUNCELLING. I have given JEE MAIN and JEE ADVANCED. First of all, we have to clear the cutoff in JEE main which is the qualifing criteria for JEE ADVANCED. I have secured a 12000 rank in Jee main. Also, I have cleared JEE ADVANCED with air 15000 and SC RANK 478. After the result, I registered on josaa councelling and filled choices for college. On the official website of JOSAA and NTA, I got all the information required like fees and application dates. Yes, I benefit from reservation because for my branch in IIT KHARAGPUR open rank 1639 is required but I have this at 15000 air rank and 478 SC rank. Yes, I want improvement in the application of JOSAA COUNCELLING that the choices on JOSAA should not locked for every round there should be an option to change choices order after 2 or 3 rounds.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As I am in the first year I am not aware of my branch course because, in the first year, students are divided into sections 1 to 20. 10 sections are of the physics semester and the other 10 are of the chemistry semester. And students are divided randomly which means divisions are not based on branch or hall. Min 4 to 5 students are from each branch in each section. Faculty are good. Some thought via slide and some on Board. The student-faculty ratio is 1 faculty on 100 students for theory classes but for Tutorial/doubts class (happens weekly) there is 1 tutor on 25 students. The teachers are well qualified their teaching method is great and talk about tutors there are PHd students at IIT KHARAGPUR. There are two terms in a year. Two times exams and two-time class tests happen in a semester. First mid-semester our mid sem happened on 18 to 26 September and the end semester in November 16 to 26. And class tests happen according to the choices of faculties.

Placement Experience :

I am a first-year student so I do have no in-depth knowledge of placements but I share what is shared with us by IIT KHARAGPUR Students become eligible for an internship in 3rd year when they are selected via cgpa and their interview. And students became eligible for placements in 4th year. Various companies come to campus for placement. In 2023 the highest package is 2.68 crore per annum. Approximately 80% of students get placed. After my degree, I am planning for my start-up.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are according to the academic calendar provided by IIT KHARAGPUR to us- 100000 - Tution fee 28855 - hall fee 6000 - institute+library+hostel 5700 - Alumini subscription + medical + hostel addmission 5750 - electricity charges + laboratory + Gymkhana + wifi connection Note - Tution fee is zero for SC/ST students. Fee Waivers are given for other students according to their family income a.Tuition Fee (UR/EWS/OB-NCL income limit >Rs. 5.0 Lakh p.a): Rs. 100000.00 b. Campus Life :

IIT KHARAGPUR campus is awesome. Classrooms are fully AC environment. In the central library, all the books on all subjects present are there. Regarding social life our seniors are very good there is no ragging in IIT KHARAGPUR of any type. Seniors are very nice and very supportive. there are many societies and clubs in IIT KHARAGPUR like a business club, e-cell, three drama societies Hindi English and Bengali, debate society, shourya and many more. There are two main fests: the spring fest going to happen from 19 to 21 Jan and the second main fest is Kshitij the techno fest which is going to happen from 13 to 15 jan in 2024. Sport facilities are very good in every hall there is all the sports place tennis court at least two Table tennis basketball court cricket nets Valley ball ground. Apart from hall courts, there are many courts on campus like Tata Steel Sports Complex for cricket and football matches and JHAN GHOSH stadium for all types of athlete. Every society and club is managed and run by only student

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is very good. There are many hostels. but for freshers mmm lbs and gokhle hall are allotted. In Gokhle there are only freshers with a count of approx 500 but in mmm and lbs seniors are also there with approx count 2000 and 2500 respectively. The facilities are Quite good one bathroom over four students and there are double sharing rooms for freshers. Meal quality is also good and we can change meals by voting every month on what we want. The registration process happens on the day arrive here and after that, you are allowed your room and hostels. I don't know much about the locality because I live in the hostel but the workers that come from the locality are quite good.

The Good college and very good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good on the campus GKCIET especially trains and encourages the students to sit for internships and placements. A student is eligible to sit for the internships at the beginning of the third and placements from the beginning of the third and placements from beginning of the final year .. a student can manage to get a PPO after completing the internship in the 3 rd which is also encouraged by the student. The other criteria regarding placements and intership are quite well-defined in the GKCIET

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because the profile came to know that the professor of this college is very good for the mechanical branch the faculty and student ratio is good for the study of the student qualification of the faculty and review teacher is like that they are good in English and they no proper way of teaching the timing of the term of the exam is first exam is midterm in which the question is of 25 marks and we have to give at least 20 marks answer it is conducted after 3 months of the beginning of the course and after the midterm exam there is another in term exam.
