Experience at NIU

Remarks :

It was direct admission. No entrance tests were taken. The application form is available on the university website. I did not receive any reservation benefits but I received a 15% scholarship as I had scored above 70 on the 12th boards.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The faculties are so nice and they are very friendly. They clear all our doubts and they dedicate their time for our accademic excellence. Most of the faculties are PhD holders and are highly qualified. The exams are taken timely and on a fair basis. If you work hard, it's not that difficult to pass the exams.

Placement Experience :

As I am a second-year student, I am not well aware of the placement opportunities provided by the university. But yes, the training programs are regularly held on a weekly basis for students to be prepared for interviews.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee of BTech is 132000 per year and it is paid semester-wise i.e. 66000 per semester. Any delay in fee payment leads to a fine of 100 rupees per day. They are very strict with the rules. They provide a merit-based scholarship as well.

Campus Life :

There are a few annual fests that take place, but not that many as they focus more on academics than enjoyment. The library is filled with all the required materials. Each classroom contains projectors to save time. Those interested in sports have the facility of sports like cricket, basketball, volleyball, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

The rooms are clean and very well furnished. Food, laundry, and other needs are well-catered for. The hostel facility is also very affordable as compared to other hostels in the city. They don't have their own hostel but they tie up with external hostels to provide their students with hostel facilities.

Placement Experience:

Placement is also at the best level. Many companies and startups come to the campus to provide internships. Students also get a 1cr plus package in some companies. But for that you have to work smartly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because my family wants me to become an engineer. So I chose electrical engineering student because I have an idea in my mind to do something big in this field. Here the faculties are very good and for electrical engineering, it is awesome. All the teachers are good. So if you want to know about students ratio then you'll see girls are very low. If you ask me about mine then in my batch only 24 girls are there out of 150 boys. Here most of the faculties are from IITs or NITs and PhD holders. if you'll ask me to rate the course and faculty I'll give you 8 /10. Here exams are held semester vice. And CTS are also there

Placement Experience:

The student is eligible from 3rd year for campus placement. Most of the student prepare for exams like GATE, SSC, and IAS or some of them open their startup. Placements are not that good. But some of the students with good skills get a decent package.

Placement to college is average but there are many students who have not been placed in BBAU. From 3 years students become eligible for campus placement. My plan after getting the degree is to do M.tech.

B.Tech CS is a very learning course. In this course, we learn about device infrastructure and its working module. The faculties of IMSEC are mainly IIT passed out. Term exams will be conducted after every one and a half months.

You get placed in your 4th year and the highest package was off campus around 4 cr and on campus was 2.4 cr and the average is 18 LPA around. If you sit for placement with a decent prep you are most likely to get placed. And yup I too am hoping for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I have an interest in electrical things so I decided to opt for it. The faculty of the electrical engineering branch is well qualified there are lots of professors who graduated from IITs if we talk about the student ratio it is equal to a ratio of 1:84. Every two months minor exam is held and It is quite difficult to pass if you are not prepared from the start. After two minor exams, there is a final exam held called majors in which the full syllabus of the semester is asked.
