Remarks :
There is a direct admission for the science and arts courses. But there will be some time taken to get admission in bcom course. Since I was from a science background, they did some little counseling on why I was changing my course from science to arts and they guided me well to take up the required course for my future needs. They just not simply make your admission. They check your interest in the subjects and then the marks you have scored in the previous course.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this arts course since I wanted to write civil service exams hence I changed from science to arts. I took up history economics and sociology as my curriculum for the 3 years since I wanted to take Sociology as my option. The faculties are quite good but as they say its a degree college we have to do our work. It all depends upon us. This college comes under Bengaluru city University hence exams are all conducted based on them only.
Placement Experience :
Well, the placements are only for the Bcom students but they do send n number of companies where one can enroll based on their own capabilities. So if one is looking to get admission to the college to have placements then trust me this is not the college for you. They do not have that many placements for arts or science students. They too have job fairs in college but one has to be active in the placement cell then he or she can have a job.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As for fee structure, I can say it is the BEST college. You can't find such a low amount of fees in any college other than a government college. Many students enroll in this college due to its deep structure also. They also provide many scholarships such as SSP scholarships and afternoon meals for hostel-going students and also for economically weaker sections.
Campus Life :
Every year a fest is conducted in the college named InCentia and also cultural fest called Anubhav and also ethnic day including the Ganesha festival or rally and kannada habba and also the inchara by Kannada department. Mes is known for its fests but due to the pandemic many fests have been stopped but they are all coming back one by one. When coming to the library you can find n number of books mostly old ones it's in quite good shape. But they should also include the books relevant to the course. There are not that many books related to the arts. They give extra encouragement to the sports. They also have sports secretaries who hold a annual sports day every year. And also staff sports day as well. Mes is known for its extra co-curricular activities but these days they focus more on studying so yea less brownie points for that. There are n number of clubs in the college with a few of them running very actively such as Rotaract club, Nss, NCC astronomy club etc.
