Remarks :

You have to clear JEE advanced and also pass 12th with a minimum of 75% marks with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subjects. The cutoff for Civil Engineering at IIT Kanpur is usually around 6000 rank.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum of IIT Kanpur is a bit tough. A semester usually ends in 4 months and has 5-6 subjects. Most of the subjects in 1st year are Institute Compulsory courses which are taught to students of every batch. Department course starts from 2nd year.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship season starts in the 5th semester and the second phase starts in the 6th semester, where you can apply for an internship through SPO. The internship is also provided in 2nd year by E-cell. The internship is less for some core branches.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition fees are Rs. 1,00,000 for students who are not applicable for any fee waiver. However, students with a family income less than 500000 get 2/3rd and those with income, less than 1,00,000 get a 1000% fee waiver.

Campus Life :

IIT Kanpur has 3 fests, Cultural Fest - Antaragni, Technical Fest - Techkriti, and Sports Fest - Udghosh which usually help in October. College also has different societies and clubs where students can explore their hobbies.

Hostel Facilities :

Freshers stay in Hall 13 where they are provided either double or triple accommodation. In the 2nd year, they are shifted to their parent hall. The hostel also has high-speed wifi. The mess quality is usually very good.

Life at NIET

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements from the sixth semester itself. Companies start visiting the college in the mid of the sixth semester. If you are from a computer background then be assured of 100% placement. Other courses available are MBA, BCA MTECH integrated etc. Mostly every student gets placed to maintain the reputation of the college. It has an average package of 500000 per year. After getting the degree I'll be working in the software field

A affordable and good college

Placement Experience:

The placement at my colleagues is good. We are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. The companies that visited my college are Infosys, HCL, Dot square and many more. I don't have any information about that offers. The highest package of my college is 25 lpa and the average package of my college is 3 lpa. 70-80% of students get the placements. My plan after getting the degree is to start my own startup.

Students in the final year are eligible for campus placement. Companies like Samsung, Adobe, Asian Paints, people strong, optum, paytm ,byujus, and many more. The previous year the highest package was 45 lpa provided by Amazon off campus and the average package was about 12 LPA. The percentage of the placement was 82% approximately and for the computer science branch, it was about 98%. In my plan was to get placed in the college.
