Remarks :

To get admission to IIT Kanpur, students give JEE Advanced exam, To give JEE Advanced one must pass JEE Mains. Application details are given on the official websites of JEE Mains and Advanced. Reservation policies are followed according to central government policy.

Course Curriculum Overview :

This was the best option for me according to my rank. IIT Kanpur is considered one of the best colleges for electrical engineering. The lab facilities at IIT Kanpur are great. The most important reason for choosing IIT Kanpur for me was the culture and the facilities provided here.

Class Size : 192Course Fees : INR 250000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

The internship is not given to all students only a few students, 50% of the batch get an internship. Companies like Google, Microsoft, jane Street, world quant, etc give offers to students. Electrical Engineering provides better internship opportunities than other branches.

Placement Experience :

Big companies like Graviton Trading, and Jane Street also visit but they select only a few students from campus, electrical engineering students are eligible for all the companies. Almost all students are placed. Companies like google, amazon, and Microsoft also visit.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees for 1 year are approximately 2.5lakhs. There are many scholarships available such as Merit-cum means scholarship, donor scholarships and external scholarships funded by alumni. SC/ST students can get Free Basic Mess Scholarship also.

Campus Life :

IIT Kanpur is a big campus with an area of over 1000 acres. The library is old and has lakhs of books. Udghosh is the annual Sports fest of IIT Kanpur. Techkriti is the annual technical fest. Antaragni is the annual Cultural Fest. Students from all parts of the country participate in all the fests

Hostel Facilities :

Every student is given hostel room. Those who want to become day scholars can do so by filling a form later. Hostel registration is not done separately. It is completed with courses registration process. Overall there are all facilities provided in the Hostels.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements from the sixth semester itself. Companies start visiting the college in the mid of the sixth semester. If you are from a computer background then be assured of 100% placement. Other courses available are MBA, BCA MTECH integrated etc. Mostly every student gets placed to maintain the reputation of the college. It has an average package of 500000 per year. After getting the degree I'll be working in the software field

A affordable and good college

Placement Experience:

The placement at my colleagues is good. We are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. The companies that visited my college are Infosys, HCL, Dot square and many more. I don't have any information about that offers. The highest package of my college is 25 lpa and the average package of my college is 3 lpa. 70-80% of students get the placements. My plan after getting the degree is to start my own startup.

Students in the final year are eligible for campus placement. Companies like Samsung, Adobe, Asian Paints, people strong, optum, paytm ,byujus, and many more. The previous year the highest package was 45 lpa provided by Amazon off campus and the average package was about 12 LPA.
