Deepandru Singh's Review On Indian Institute Of Information Technology - [IIIT], Allahabad | collegedunia.com

IIITA in a nutshell.

Remarks :

The application procedure is easy. The All India Rank(AIR) in the JEE Mains Entrance Test is used to determine admissions. Via JoSAA Counselling, the admissions procedure is carried out. After a seat is assigned, you must go to the college for the next step in the procedure. The best thing is that the college procedure is online-based(everything will be done on the ERP portal), resulting in a quick admission process and minimal paperwork.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum at IIIT Allahabad is updated regularly to keep pace with the changing industry trends and demands. The curriculum is definetely hectic but wholesome, providing wide exposure to a student. I chose IIIT Allahabad because of its excellent placement record and strong research focus. Moreover, IIITA is well-known and respected in the industry. The faculty: student ratio at IIIT A is commendable. The faculty members are highly qualified, with most of them holding Ph.D. degrees from reputed universities across the world, including IITs. The term exams are conducted timely. IIITA follows continuous evaluation. Your final grades are a summation of various quizzes, lab assessments, and review tests that are conducted almost every two weeks.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are provided at the start of the third year itself. Internships are easily available due to the great coding culture of IIITA. But only a few go for internships due to academic reasons.

Placement Experience :

IIITA is known for its excellent placement record. The placements of IIIT A are on a rise. This year the average package was 34 lacs!! and the minimum package offered was 18 lacs. All the tech giants visit the campus, including Google, Amazon, etc. The college boasts 100% placements each year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is well-balanced. Four years of B.Tech. the course will cost you about 10 Lacs, as of now. This is very very low as compared to other premiere institutions across the globe. The ROI(Return on Investment) is also very high due to Excellent placements. The fee is hiked by 10% every year, which is understandable. Being a premiere Govt. institution, education loan and scholarships are readily available.

Campus Life :

At IIITA, campus life is just fantastic. It seems chaotic at first, but you'll quickly adjust and grow to appreciate it. The campus features excellent facilities, including a pool, basketball, and badminton courts, a student activity cetre, and more. The library also provides various books that will be helpful, especially in research activities. Three fests are part of IIITA's annual celebrations: Cultural Fest- Effervescence Technical Fest- Aproksha Sports Fest- Asmita There are various societies that will help you immensely to grow your network and upskill yourself: Thunderbolt AMS, Sarasva, Nirmiti, Rangtarangini, Virtuosi, GeneticX, Geekhaven, Tesla, Gravity, etc. The classrooms are also well equipped and in good condition. Whole campus has centralized Air Conditioning.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester, students are applicable for campus placement. All big companies like Wipro, IBM, TCS, and many such companies come to our college and they also do mass recruitment. The highest package of last year was in amazon in AWS was around 30LPA. The placement percentage of students in CSE is around 95 percent. My plan after getting the degree is to take placement from college.

College students are eligible for campus placements after the fourth year. In campus placements, the necessary thing for a student is the skills and also the work experience. Companies prefer skills over knowledge.
