Ashutosh Verma's Review On Indian Institute Of Information Technology - [IIIT], Allahabad | collegedunia.com

Complete College Review

Remarks :

The admission process was through JOSAA on the basis of JEE percentile, The cutoff for the IT branch general is about 5k, and OBC is about 11k. All the fee details are provided on the college's official site.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course structure is quite relatable , no off the topic subjects are taught.Everything helps in placement. The faculty to student ratio is 1:106, the faculties are not that much good as is the case in most colleges, it follows a continuous assessment pattern due to which exams come in every month

Internships Opportunities :

The companies that offered stipends in past years are Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon, Google, and De-shaw. The internships are easy to crack for college students who work a little bit hard, so need to worry about internship and placement.

Placement Experience :

Students get the college placements from 4th year while they do start getting internships from the 3 Rd start only .The highest packages goes as high as 1.4 crores while the average fluctuates around 30 lpa.All the students get placed i.e. 100% placement. you heard it right. After getting the degree I plan to work in a MNC and earn a good amount of money in order to better my family's financial condition.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is quite good, it's cheap and affordable. The college provides several scholarships based on merit, and caste, and then government scholarships are also available. Big tech companies like Faamg come almost every year, so need to worry about placements.

Campus Life :

Effervescence is the annual of IIIT Allahabad, Aparoksha being the tech fest and Asmita as cultural fest , effervescence is conducted around Nov-Dec Aparoksha in April. The college has a library in which you could find a variety of books to choose from. The sports culture is not so good considering the pressure of academics. The Facebook page of IIITA Geekheaven is being run by students only.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel has free wifi but the speed is not that great. The mess food is not that good when we look at the price, the quality being okayish. the registration process begins before the start of college and hardly takes an hour( in the worst case). Renting a room will take you to civil lines or farther areas which I personally won't suggest

It can also help develop your soft skills, such as being able to work in a team and the ability to solve complex problems, which are all valuable assets for both your academic and professional career, as Jasmine experienced.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester, students are applicable for campus placement. All big companies like Wipro, IBM, TCS, and many such companies come to our college and they also do mass recruitment. The highest package of last year was in amazon in AWS was around 30LPA. The placement percentage of students in CSE is around 95 percent. My plan after getting the degree is to take placement from college.

College students are eligible for campus placements after the fourth year. In campus placements, the necessary thing for a student is the skills and also the work experience. Companies prefer skills over knowledge.
