Tharun's Review On Indian Institute Of Information Technology - [IIIT], Allahabad | collegedunia.com

Amazing look of IIIT Allahabad placements

Remarks :

To get admission we have to clear JEE MAINS EXAM which is conducted by NTA. According to the cut-off, we will get the branch going through the JOSSA counseling which will be held after the advanced exam. And there will also be CSAB which will be held after JOSSA which is only for NIT, and IIIT for the seats which are left in JOSSA rounds.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is good it is not that hard, and we can get through easily. Faculty are well experienced and are very good at teaching. I have chosen the IT branch because of my placements at IIIT Allahabad. CONTINUOUS EVALUATION SYSTEM IS FOLLOWED because of this even if we miss some exams we can have other opportunities to score well. There will be three components in each semester. the third component consists of 40% weightage and the first two components 30%each.75% attendance is mandatory in each subject.

Internships Opportunities :

in the 3 d year all the students will be provided internship opportunities. students who gets internships have to work for 2 months at the company. more than 200 companies visits every year to provide internship opportunities to the students.

Placement Experience :

placements are awesome at IIITA. students from 3rd year and 4th year are eligible for placements. in the 3rd year internship opportunities will be provided and in the 4 year placement opportunities will be given to the students. More than 200 companies visits the campus every year for recruitment. 100 % students gets placed which is a phenomenon

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fee for each semester is around 70,000 and the mess fee is 23000 annually and 120000 for hostlers(double shared room). We can avail of loans from different banks and there are scholarships for SC and ST students.SC

Campus Life :

The campus life is good. There are many trees in the college. There are many clubs like Sarasva for literature, Geekheaven for technical, GeneticX for dance, and Rangtarangini for Drama. There are students from various states most of which are north and southmost people come from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. There is a library which is good and has most of the books we required. The classrooms are good and air-conditioned and big enough.

Hostel Facilities :

There are 5 hostels for boys and 3 hostels for girls . in the first year and second year we will be alloted double rooms i.e 2 persons per room and for the 3rd nd 4 th year we will be allotted single occupancy rooms. free wifi and ethernets are also available in the hostels. mess menu is not too good but it's eatable. on allotment of enrollment number to the students college authorities will allot the hostels immediately without no further registrations.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester, students are applicable for campus placement. All big companies like Wipro, IBM, TCS, and many such companies come to our college and they also do mass recruitment. The highest package of last year was in amazon in AWS was around 30LPA. The placement percentage of students in CSE is around 95 percent. My plan after getting the degree is to take placement from college.

College students are eligible for campus placements after the fourth year. In campus placements, the necessary thing for a student is the skills and also the work experience. Companies prefer skills over knowledge.
