Ameyaa Paresh Dandekar's Review On Pillai HOC College Of Engineering And Technology - [PHCET] Panvel, Navi Mumbai | collegedunia.com

Review about Pillai College Of Engineering And Technology, Rasayani.

Remarks :

For eligibility for the course, there should be at least 35% in 10th standard, the admission process was done easily firstly, we went to the office for filling out the form and thereafter there was a cut-off in admission fees as we are in OBC Caste so there was a cut off in fees and there was no exam before admission. If we apply reservation there are benefits like cut off of fees. The actual fees were around 50,000 but we applied for the cut off so our fees were only 32,800 for 3yrs.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course as I wanted to do a diploma in computer engineering after 10th and for that, Pillai college was the best. Talking about faculty members, they are very supportive and they coordinate with us. The qualifications of faculty members are all well-educated. The term exams were not so difficult as the teachers teaches us their best to us, month after month there is the exam like class test-1, class test-2 and before the tests, they keep a study camp to clear out all the doubts, the camp is for 1hr and they revise all the chapters before exams, so that's a benefit for us. No other college does like that to keep a study camp before exams.

Placement Experience :

The placements of college are very good, after 6 semesters we can do the job, the college does the placement, but for that our percentage matters. The packages are around 3-4 lacs per annum. Starting salary is less but once we do the job for 1 or 2 yrs simultaneously, our salary increases depending on the work we do there

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I opted for tuition fees and examination fees for OBC students as the fees for around 50,000 but because of the scholarship, we paid 32,800 only. Financial assistance was also supportive he suggested we opt for a scholarship and he helped us a lot with that.

Campus Life :

In college, there is a fest called Euforia that is for 4-5 days. They keep that in months January- February. At the fest, many celebrities come and we enjoy ourselves, we can also participate in that, like rapping, singing, dancing, a fashion show, showing any talent, etc, we have to get tickets for that. And on the 3-4th day there is a DJ night in that many artists come, they sing or play DJs. Not only in Euforia but also on normal days, celebrities come for movie promotions. We can enjoy the fest so much by keeping aside studies for a few days. The arrangement of the fest is done by college students like calling the DJ artists or singers, the stage decoration, etc. And also the true campus is huge, there are Libraries in college and we can go there any time as there are plenty of books to read and no teacher shouts us to visit the Libraries, whenever we have a project or something we always visit the library.

Placement Experience:

Ahinsa Polytechnic may have a placement cell that assists eligible students in securing job opportunities on campus. Typically, students may become eligible for placements after the completion of their final year or the last semester. Several companies, including local industries, and start-ups, may visit the campus for recruitment, with the number of offers made varying each year. The highest and average package offered, as well as the job profiles available, may depend on various factors such as academic performance and industry demand. The placement cell may also provide necessary guidance and training to improve students' employability. If campus placements are not available, students may have to explore job opportunities on their own by searching through job portals, company websites, or other sources. I may choose to pursue higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The mechanical diploma was my dream or you can say aim as I used to love machines from my childhood. The faculty has a ratio of 65 students and 6 teachers for a particular subject and even there were consulting teachers for better future guidance. Almost all the teachers were Btech and mtech, who taught us. The exams used to be 2 unit tests and 1 semester in the end, usually 1-1 1/2 month gap used to be there in between unit tests. The exams used to be kind of difficult as they used to cover a good portion of our syllabus and used to be brainstorming for us.
