Kunal Nagpal's Review On Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute Of Management - [LBSIM], New Delhi | collegedunia.com

LBSIM stands out with better ROI and Placement Opportunities

KN
7.6 /10

Remarks :

The admission process at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management includes shortlisting of applications followed by a GDPI round. The CAT cutoff for PGDM General is around the 80 percentile. The application form can be filled out on the institute's website.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The PGDM General course provides you with room for understanding all the domains in the management course and choosing the stream thereafter that interests you in the second year. At LBSIM section size is approx 40 students and most of the faculties come with a lot of industry experience. Exams are a bit tough and one needs to work hard on academics to pass.

Internships Opportunities :

Asian paints - Management Trainer Stipend - 70k pm EY GDS - Knowledge Intern Stipend - 40k pm Delloite - Analyst Stipend - 50k pm Gartner - Sales Trainee Stipend - 50k pm Marsh - Insurance Trainee Stipend - 35k pm

Placement Experience :

This year the placement season was good with 100% placements. The average package stood at 11.5 lacs and the highest CTC offered was 25 lacs. Many prominent companies such as DE Shaw, EY, Bain & Company, Asian Paints, Delloite, etc visited the campus for placements.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The academic fees for the batch 2021-23 were 11.67 lac and the fee hike per year is around 30k. The college provides good ROI when compared to B-schools of the same league with prominent companies visiting the campus for internships as well as placement opportunities.

Campus Life :

The infrastructure of the college is average. Although the classrooms are good the campus lacks space for sports grounds and amenities. There are 11 clubs in the institute completely run by students. 'Tatva' - the annual fest of LBSIM is the most exciting and fun event of the year.

Interview Experience :

The topic for my Group Discussion was 'Is it ethical to do lab experiments on animals. The interview revolved around questions from my prior internship experience, academics, and current affairs. A candidate needs to be well prepared for questions regarding past academic records.
