Remarks :
The admission process was not as smooth I wanted it to be. The exam centres were not selected very well and there could also be major improvements. The application form was available in the IIFT website. The exam is usually in December. IIFT follows the reservation system as set by Government of India.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum focuses on International aspects of the business. India is at the brink of International breakthrough and IIFT is set to capture this opportunity. The faculty is well qualified and all are doctoral by qualification. Exams are timely conducted and there is relative grading.
Internships Opportunities :
the name of all the companies that visit college are available in the placement report in the IIFT website. All the major companies visit campus and offer various roles in finance, consulting, trade, marketing and supply chain etc.
Placement Experience :
The placement at IIFT is excellent. We have an amazing placement team that works tirelessly throughout the year. The details of the company that visit the campus are available on the IIFT website. There is always 100% placement and students enter the corporate world.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees per year are around 10 lakhs which is excluding the hostel fees. There are no campus jobs available as such. Financial Assistance is not provided as such. But there is a different (reduced) fee structure followed for SC and ST category students. The ROI of IIFT is better than other similar league colleges.
Campus Life :
The annual cultural fest is called Quo Vadis. It is in February. Campus life is very happening and vibrant. There are a huge number of activities taking place and the campus is always buzzing with activities, laughter, and fun. But our campus is small so everyone is not able to live inside the campus.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facility is okayish. The food quality could be improved but we are working with the vendors to make it happen. The facilities provided are ro water, a geyser, and a blower in the winter. Apart from the college, there is one hostel called C9 which is 500 meters from the hostel and the other one is the oyo campus which is at a distance of 4km from the college.
Interview Experience :
After the written test got cleared, the next step was an extempore and personal interview. The extempore topic was Portrayal of JNU by Media. I spoke about it for 3 minutes. Talking about my interview, involved theoretical questions regarding my subjects in undergraduate; some communication and human resources theories, etc. For preparation, I was thorough with my internships and UG subjects,
