Rochak Jain's Review On Prin. L. N. Welingkar Institute Of Management Development & Research - [WeSchool], Mumbai | collegedunia.com

Welingkar's Honest Review

Remarks :

The application form and eligibility details can be found on Welingkar's own website. The cutoff for Welingkar through CMAT scores was 85 percentile and I got shortlisted at a score of 92 percentile. There was an online interview and then the final list came when I was shortlisted.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose E-business because of the growing demand for technology-related sectors and products. The faculty here is highly professional. The total batch size for PGDM is 720 currently. There is a trimester-based exam system that is very hectic and continuous evaluation takes place.

Internships Opportunities :

There are many companies like Goldman Sachs, GEP, Gartner, Reliance, ICICI, HDFC, Siemens, etc which come for various roles like Finance, Marketing, HR, and Operations. Currently, there are not many companies coming on campus and also they are not picking many students

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible for placements after their Summer Internship which happens after 3rd trimester or 1st year, where they are offered PPOs as well. The highest package last year was 24 lakhs and the average was around 10 lakhs. Roughly around 90% batch gets placed. I might start my business after having worked for some years through placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Currently, I am in my first year. The Summer Internship Process is still going on. The fee hike is usually around 10-15% every year. Students can take loans for their fees and no such scholarships are available right now. MMS students have fewer fees. I will get my job next year.

Campus Life :

The campus is in a form of a 7-floor building which has good facilities and AC classrooms. There are 2 libraries for students and reading rooms to sit and study. It also has a gym, and indoor sports. Classrooms have screens. The college conducts various sessions for academics and sports and cultural fests frequently. Clubs and social groups are conducted and managed by students.

Interview Experience :

There was only an online interview due to COVID last year. We were also asked to fill in certain details about ourselves. The waitlist is generated after interviews and then the seat is confirmed according to the waitlist and preference of the course. I prepared by watching some videos and reading content online and also consulted some of my friends.

Campus placements are pretty decent at SCMHRD. Our college falls in the tier 2 category. The placement/summer internship process goes on for about a month and there is 100% placement. I've myself secured a job in an MNC

Placement Experience:

Placement is one of the best things in NITIE because of its industrial presence and a long list of Alumni who passed out over the last 60 years there is 100% placement and the average package is rising every year. The packages were around 55 lacs and the jobs and roles offered by different companies were mostly in operations and supply chain roles. There are other rules offered in the GEN man, marketing and finance.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am currently pursuing my course at KJ Somaiya College and I am very satisfied with the education I am receiving. The course curriculum is well-designed and up-to-date, covering all the important aspects of the subject. The faculty members are highly qualified and experienced and the faculty-student ratio is very favourable which gives students plenty of individual attention and support. The teaching method is very effective which makes it easy for students to understand and retain the concepts. The term exams are conducted promptly and are not overly difficult to pass. Overall, I would highly recommend this course and this college to anyone interested in this field.
