Student's Review On Prin. L. N. Welingkar Institute Of Management Development & Research - [WeSchool], Mumbai | collegedunia.com

ROI Decent

Remarks :

Eligibility is CMATCAT MAT XAT ATMA.Entrance exam cutoff CAT is 80 CMAT is 85 XAT is 80 GMAT is 80 ATMA is 85 Should have done graduation in any stream. Work experience would be an added advantage MMS have a reservation for Maharashtrian students. Fill out the application on the website Application fees 2000rs

Course Curriculum Overview :

I prefer General MBA to a particular stream like EBIZ or RBA. Hence I opted for PGDM Core. The course will have 6 trimesters 3 per year. Some of the faculties are extremely good. Case studies are utilised in lectures. There is 1 professor for every 6 students. Few subjects are difficult but manageable.

Internships Opportunities :

Companies like Morgan Stanley, Accenture, and Nestle offered stipends as high as 80,000rs/month for internships. The college will allocate research topics during the SIP break and is to be submitted as a report SIRP. There would be final trimester projects as well. Also depending on the faculty. there would be subject-wise projects like business research, International Marketing. College has Global Citizen Leadership GCL Projects to be done by student groups where they work on projects allocated by companies

Placement Experience :

The placements are decent. It starts from the start of 2nd year ie 4th Trimester. Since the student count is high, the number of companies visiting the college are high more than 100. Eg CIBIL Landmark ICICI Bank IDFC First Bank EY etc. Highest package 24Lakhs Average of 12.5 lakhs. Many got PPO from their summer internship companies. I plan to work in the corporate sector after getting my degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Hostel fees are quite high considering there is no food. But it is the Mumbai metro region where rent is high. Check out the Buddy4study portal for various scholarships. ROI is decent considering colleges in similar fees category. The college provides placement and internships through placement cells though the student count is high.

Campus Life :

Since our classes started during covid time, there weren't many fests. M&E dept recently conducted an art fest in January. There will be a freshers' party. The marketing dept has an annual round table conference held in November. Similarly, other specialisations also do it. All classrooms have AC, WIFI, TV, Projector etc There is a gym inside the college. There are grounds for college management nearby. There is a basketball and a cricket team for college. Billiards, chess, carroms, and table tennis rooms are available inside the college. There are multiple clubs of specialisations. There is Redex, a library spread across multiple floors, Reading rooms The college provides access and membership to Bloomberg, Magazines, and article websites.

Placements are top-notch in NMIMS Mumbai for the course of MBA Business Analytics, it is one of the best in the country. Campus placements are pretty decent at SCMHRD. Our college falls in the tier 2 category. The placement/summer internship process goes on for about a month and there is 100% placement. I've myself secured a job in an MNC

Placement Experience:

Placement is one of the best things in NITIE because of its industrial presence and a long list of Alumni who passed out over the last 60 years there is 100% placement and the average package is rising every year. The packages were around 55 lacs and the jobs and roles offered by different companies were mostly in operations and supply chain roles. There are other rules offered in the GEN man, marketing and finance.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am currently pursuing my course at KJ Somaiya College and I am very satisfied with the education I am receiving. The course curriculum is well-designed and up-to-date, covering all the important aspects of the subject. The faculty members are highly qualified and experienced and the faculty-student ratio is very favourable which gives students plenty of individual attention and support. The teaching method is very effective which makes it easy for students to understand and retain the concepts. The term exams are conducted promptly and are not overly difficult to pass. Overall, I would highly recommend this course and this college to anyone interested in this field.
