Student's Review On FMS Delhi Faculty Of Management Studies, New Delhi | collegedunia.com

FMS, family wali feeling

Remarks :

The entrance examination was CAT. I applied for FMS on their website and based on my profile and CAt score I got shortlisted for an interview and then cleared the interview. I have a 9/9/9 profile and the CAT percentile was 95. I have 3 years of consulting experience from OBC. All the process was smooth and effective.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I wanted to have managerial skills attached to my technical skills to excel in my career, so choose to do an MBA. Here at FMS, we have an experienced faculty guiding seniors to help us at every point. The course runs for 4 semesters, 2 semesters each year.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship is offered by several dream companies in different fields of consulting, marketing, finance and product management. The internship will be for 2 months and based on the performance some companies offer PPOs to the candidates

Placement Experience :

FMS has one of the best campus placements and the college which gives the best RoI in India. Placements happen offline or online based on the company. There is a specific placement committee to work on this placement and provide us with the best options possible

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is straightforward and significantly less compared to other premier B schools. Scholarships can be availed for the tuition fee for some category students. I am not sure of the scholarship name but you can get those details from the website. There are no hostels provided and students take PG/flats nearby. We can apply for a student loan from banks

Campus Life :

FMS is said to be a student-run campus, where there are many societies and clubs to look after the students and the students. We have several batch parties, sports events conducted by the sports society, Fiesta the annual fest and many more.

Interview Experience :

No GD. One personal interview was held which is around 7 to 10 mins. interview mode was offline and we were judged on 2 things: one personal interview and one extempore. For extempore topics, I focussed on current affairs and possible questions/topics based on my resume. for interview, most of the questions were from my workex and the extempore topic was - How being a dancer helps you to become a good manager.(my hobby is dance and learnt it for 8 years)

Placement Experience:

The placements are really very good. the average package is 25 lakhs which are quite good if we talk about top MBA colleges. The highest package is offered by Trade companies which is about 80 lakhs at the Dubai location, followed by Trident, Amazon, Microsoft etc. 100% placements are there. My plan is to work for 5-6 years at a reputed firm and then go for a start-up.
