Why is PEC losing its good ranking? Is it true that NIT Jalandhar will cross it within a few years?

NIRF 2022 has ranked NIT Jalandhar 52. While PEC received a ranking of 87. Here are some of the factors that affected PEC’s ranking.

  • Although the university has changed the syllabus, it doesn’t meet the industry trends.
  • Students don’t get many research opportunities.
  • PEC needs to improve its infrastructure.

NIT Jalandhar is an institute of national importance. The NIT tag is well-recognized in the industry. This is also another reason why NIT Jalandhar ranks higher than PEC.

Going by the words of ex-students of PEC, the previous director at PEC wasn’t really a true educationist or a good administrator. The infrastructure, curriculum, and extracurriculars didn’t improve to any significant level. The college just stagnated under his reign.

But the new director is quite the opposite. His ideas about the improvement of the institute are not only conceived but implemented at a good pace as well. The infrastructure is being hopped up and the curriculum is more rigorous. PEC fest has been made into a brand in itself. The future batched won’t miss out on any more fun stuff.

Hopefully, PEC would soon regain its lost glory.
