NCERT books are the best for JEE Main preparation. Here are other reference books that you can follow.

  • JEE Main Physics section usually has concept-oriented numerical questions. Understanding the derivation of various formulas is important to score well in this section. D.C Panday and H.C Verma are great for caring concepts. There are also examples and problems that you can follow.
  • NCERT books are enough for all three sections of Chemistry.
  • For Mathematics, Arihant Series and RD Sharma are good reference books.

Also, practicing JEE Main Previous Year Questions are a must.

If you are only preparing for the JEE Main, then NCERTs is the best option for you. This might be standard advice but it is beneficial.

If you feel you are well prepared with the NCERTs but want to practice more, then you can solve the 10 years question papers, because several questions in JEE Main are repeated.

The questions in JEE Main are usually conceptual and not application-oriented. Make sure that you are fully prepared with the NCERTs before shifting your focus to other study materials.

Here are some other books that you will find helpful, these include: Concepts Of Physics by H.C. Verma, R.D. Sharma for Maths, DC Pandey for Physics, etc. Follow NCERTs thoroughly for Chemistry, especially Organic.
