With this percentile you should definitely wait for CAP, and if you have got some work experiencee that makes your case even more strong.
For your second question, yes you will get PUMBA or MET with this percentile but don’t go for them for now, wait and you can easily convert new IIMs.
The total intake capacity is 60 seats. Out of the total, 30 seats will be filled as per statutory reservations only from the State of Maharashtra. For SC students, 8 seats are reserved.
The remaining 30 seats will be filled in the open category. 3% of the total intake capacity (i.e. 2 seats) shall be reserved for physically handicapped candidates.
Go For ATMA, 79 Percentile isn't that great to get you into PUMBA. Prepare for the ATMA and aim for a score of at least 90. Last year, the cut-off was close to 90%ile for SC Category.
As per DOMS PUMBA's second cut-off 2022, the institute recorded MAH CET cut off in the All India category of 99.85 percentile.
PUMBA and Indira Institute of Management both offer post-graduation courses. The number of courses offered by PUMBA is more than the latter.
Indira Institute of Management offers a PGDM course in two specializations: Marketing and Finance.
PUMBA offers a few more courses other than those offered by the Indira Institute of Management. The other courses it offers are Ph.D., Executive MBA, and MBA in Pharma Biotech.
Thus, one can make assumptions based on these statistics.
Candidates belonging to Maharashtra can apply through MAH CET MBA whereas, outside Maharashtra, candidates can apply through CMAT/CAT or MAH CET MBA scores. Candidates who will meet the minimum cutoff criteria will be able to appear for the counseling rounds.
PUMBA, CMAT Cutoff 2020 for General Category is listed below. The overall cutoff for CMAT is 90 percentile.
Institutions such as Times and Career Launcher offer study material for national level tests, which may also be useful for the MAH CET exam. They’re both well-known coaching institutes for MBA entrance exams in India and have a reputation for providing quality study material.
Self-study and consistent practice can also be effective in cracking the exam. Additionally, staying updated with current affairs and having strong analytical and reasoning skills can be helpful in achieving a high score.
