Qualifying Exams:

• Admissions at DSCE require students to appear for JEE Main/ COMED-K/ KCET for BTech courses. For MTech students can appear for GATE/Karnataka PGCET and for MBA PGDM students must appear for MAT/CAT/KMAT/Karnataka PGCET.

• For DSATM admissions, students can apply for UG programs by appearing for CET, COMED-K, JEE Main, or DCET. For architecture programs, students will require NATA scores.

• DSU Admissions for BTech/BE degree courses accept COMED-K UGET/ KSET/DSAT scores. For MTech and MBA programs Karnataka PGCET/DSAT scores are required.

BITS is the better choice among all as CSE has more scope than ECE. And NIT Surathkal is an old institute with a better placement record than IIT Bhubaneswar. 

Since BITS Hyderabad is the newest among all other campuses and it certainly is a little behind in terms of faculty, infrastructure, etc. But when compared on a national level it is on par with any other institute. NIT Surathkal is among the top NITs of this country. The placements of students of this branch are also good although NIT Trichy and Warangal have better placement records. The average placement package offered at this NIT is around 14.15 LPA and 100% placement was observed for B.Tech batches in last year’s placement drive.

ECE is one of the new branches that started at IIT Bhubaneswar starting from 2016. Hence the first batch of students will graduate in 2020. In 2019, the average CTC offered in this IIT was 11.44 LPA. Many core companies, software companies, PSU’s, etc. hire electrical engineers from IIT Bhubaneswar hence one can assume the same trend to be followed for electronics and communication engineering also but the result is yet to be seen.

The University of Calcutta is among the top 10 universities in India, as per the NIRF ranking 2020. University of Calcutta:

• For admission to MSc programs, the university has its entrance exam followed by an interview.

• Applicants should have at least 55% marks in BSc (Hons.) Computer Science or equivalent.

1st-year fee for MSc in Computer Science is Rs.2,314.

St. Xavier's College:

• Admissions to PG courses, including MSc in Computer Science are based on the entrance test conducted by the university.
