Both XIMB and IMT Ghaziabad are very good colleges but XIMB will be a better choice than IMT Ghaziabad. I know some people from both the institute, so I think I can give you some insight about them.
Here are some recent statistics regarding the institutes.

Hence, choosing XIMB will be a better choice as it is a very reputed college and the academics and faculty here are very good too. But if you are looking for diversity in your batch then you should choose IMT.
It is quite apparent that if you haven’t met people who actually studied in either of these institutions. That’s why this answer is based on my graduation batchmates who successfully managed to secure a seat at IIM Ahmedabad.
Comparing the two IIM Calcutta and Ahmedabad, both the institutions have a big alumni network and claim to be at par. However, that doesn't mean that both are identical or similar because the internal factors matter a lot.
Here are some insights about these IIMs you must have a look at before deciding.
However, in your case, if you want to wait for IIM Bangalore's waitlist to proceed, do check the past years’ records. Check if the waitlists of the past few years have created a huge difference for the waiting candidates. If not, go for any of IIM Calcutta or Ahmedabad without giving a second thought.
JBIMS (Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies) and NITIE (National Institute of Industrial Engineering) are both highly regarded management colleges in India, with MBA programs in Finance and Operations, respectively. JBIMS is a Mumbai-based business school noted for its strong finance program. The institute's academic program is demanding, including topics such as financial markets, corporate finance, and investment banking. Top recruiters such as Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Citibank often hire from the school, demonstrating the institute's strong placement record in the finance industry.
NITIE, on the other hand, is a Mumbai-based university that provides a specialized MBA program in Operations Management. With courses including Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and Quality Management, the institute puts a significant emphasis on industrial engineering and operations research. Top recruiters such as Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata Motors, among others, have visited the school and have a constant high placement record in the operations area.
When considering the three business schools in question, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Sirmaur, and IMI Delhi are in the same league, with IMI Delhi having a slight edge over the other two in terms of placements. This is due to the fact that it is older than the newer IIMs and has been in the B-Schools scene for a longer period of time. However, it is important to note that the newer IIMs have had a meteoric rise because of their IIM designation.
All three of these business schools are good in their respective positions, but if you have a slight preference for Human Resources, IMI Delhi may be the better choice for you due to the HR profiles offered to students and the school's reputation for its HRM program. Additionally, while the location of IMI may be more favorable, if you are looking to study and make the most of your next two years in a more secluded setting away from the hustle and bustle of a metro area, IIM Sirmaur or Sambalpur may be more fitting.
Ultimately, it is important to reach out to students and alumni of these respective business schools to gain a clearer understanding and make a decision that aligns with your own preferences and goals. It is important to remember that ultimately, the decision should be based on what will allow you to perform at your best.
One of my cousins was in a similar dilemma last year when she had to choose between PEC and NIT Kurukshetra. Both the colleges are premier engineering colleges offering excellent education and are head-to-head in most factors. However, you may want to consider the following points before making the final decision
The final decision depends on personal factors like location and future prospects. If you are from Chandigarh choosing PEC will be better.

When choosing between several institutes, there are various things that you need to factor in before arriving at any possible conclusion. The first thing you need to decide is what matters to you most: branch or institute. If you have a specific branch in mind, you can definitely choose either of these two institutes. You can rest assured about placement as both of these two offer good placement to the students.
Whereas, if you are more inclined towards choosing a better institute, irrespective of the branch, you can choose MNNIT.
However, according to various reviews, the most preferred order for these choices among students are as follows.
Further, CSE and IT offer almost the same opportunities, and points 2 and 3 are interchangeable at times.
I have a few friends at both institutes so I can give you some idea about them. Both IIIT Guwahati and Thapar University are very good engineering institutes, but the former will be a better choice.
Thapar University is a reputed private institute with good infrastructure, an updated curriculum, and a well-developed alumni base. But when compared to IIIT Guwahati it falls behind.
If we check the recent placement statistics for these two institutes, there a big difference can be seen. The average CTC offered at Thapar for recent years has been around 7 LPA, whereas for IIIT Guwahati the average CTC is around 10.2 LPA.
The final decision is yours. Consider all these facts and choose wisely.
