How’s the placement of ECE in DCRUST Murthal?
I have a few friends who graduated from DCRUST Murthal. According to them, ECE has had a good placement record over the past few years. However, not many core companies visit the campus for the placement drive. Most students get recruited by TCS or other mass recruiters. The average CTC offered at the institute is 3-4 LPA.
According to the trends of placement at DCRUST, around 80% of students get placed each year. Students of ECE also have the advantage of being open to CSE, ECE, and Electrical Engineering companies for placements.
Is there a 100% placement for the EC branch in engineering in HKBK College, Bangalore?

I have a few friends from MNNIT Allahabad and here is what they had to say.
- Companies such as Adobe and Microsoft mainly prefer students from CSE/IT branches. Back in 2016, Adobe offered an internship to a Electrical student.
- As far as Amazon is concerned it does prefer students from Electrical engineering as well.
- Amazon on the other hand allows all the students. Other software companies which comes for recruitment allows ECE student as well.
- Also, if you are interested, you can request to TPOs so that they can forward your request to the company’s HR. Depending upon your resume you can get the required allowance.

Which is worth taking, BITS Hyderabad ECE or NIT Surathkal ECE?
To be honest, it depends on who you are and what you are looking for.
BITS Hyderabad is completely lenient. You will learn if you want to, otherwise, things could go horribly wrong. But one thing is certain: no matter which branch you choose, BITS Hyderabad will assist you in discovering your true passion.
NIT Surathkal, on the other hand, is one of the top NITs where a certain percentage of attendees is required. That's beside the point. If you truly feel and believe that your true interest lies in ECE, it is safer to enroll at NIT Suratkal. However, no other college or university can offer you the freedom that BITS can.
It is always recommended to choose what you feel is good for you and work accordingly.
What is better, ECE from IIIT Allahabad or electrical or mechanical from top NITs excluding NIT Trichy?
Well, your question is quite different as it is asking to compare all the three different specializations in Engineering.

I have a friend who is currently pursuing ECE from REVA University. His experience with the institute has been quite good.
- The department has a great faculty base.
- The academic environment at the institute is also good.
- The department provides skill development programs every year, which is quite helpful.
- You will also get summer internship offers during your course. Some of the internship offers are even abroad. These internships help with project-based learning.
- The department organizes many technical seminars. IEEE conducts workshops too, which are helpful.
So, REVA University can be a good option if you are interested in ECE.
Which college should I chose for ECE/ENI, Manipal, Thapar SRM, NIT (Sikkim, Megalaya, Srinagar, Mizoram) or IIIT Kancheepuram?
Many of my friends opted for IIITDM Kancheepuram. It has been established for over 11 years. According to them, it is quite stable. The infrastructure of the college is great and it is equipped with the best hostel.
- The course curriculum is accordingly designed as per the requirements of the industry.
- Although you may find some of the courses missing which are quite common, you need not worry about that as the curriculum focuses on design and manufacturing.
- The institute conducts exams at regular intervals and does not create much anxiety amongst the students.
- The faculty consists of very well-experienced and cooperative members.
- The college also has an 85% attendance policy so getting a tough faculty is an obvious reason.
- There are a lot of clubs that are headed by students which have also been mentioned on the institute‘s website.
- The student community in the college is extremely active.
- Every semester, various technical and cultural events are conducted and an annual techno-cultural fest – Samgatha is also conducted.

The cultural and technical events get a lot more attraction in the even semesters. However, there is not much to talk about the food. Therefore, it can be concluded that this college is a good choice.

GATE exam is a tough nut to crack. Around 8 lakh candidates apply every year for the exam to secure a seat in top IITs for a master’s degree or getting into PSUs.
If you are targeting the exam, it will be early to join coaching classes. As you are currently in your first year, it will be better to start focusing, reading, and learning about the core subjects in graduation. It will give you conceptual clarity. Also, the preparation will help you in placements too.
