A
Admin Posted On : May 2nd, 2022

MBA at Alliance University can be the best choice for you. Alliance School of Business was ranked 60 among b-schools in India in NIRF 2021 rankings. According to Times B-School Ranking, Alliance School of Business is ranked 13th among Indian Business Schools in 2022.

I’ve friends at Alliance University, and all the time they only talk about the quality study it provides, and how much they are learning and growing. It is the first top B-school to be accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), USA.

Alliance University has the best faculty for MBA with good placements. In 2021, 93% of MBA students got placed at Alliance University, and the recruiting companies were ICICI, HDFC Bank, Whirlpool, PWC, Kaseya, Amazon, American Express, Bicon, and Bosch, Tata Enterprises, etc.

As you said you have the experience of 6 years as a Software developer, so basically you want to move from engineer to Management studies. Alliance provides many specializations in MBA like Data Science, Technology Management, General Management, Finance, Marketing, HR, etc. Alliance has a good amount of quality faculties that will help you achieve in your career. I suggest don’t think too much, Alliance is the best option one can get.

Is it tough to get admission to Alliance University for an MBA program?

AS
Ankita Sinha Posted On : June 10th, 2021
Studied at Alliance University

No, it’s not tough to get admission to Alliance University for an MBA program. One of my close friends is an MBA alumnus at this university and here are some tips for you from his experience.

Minimal marks are sufficient for you to crack through the entrance. You have to appear for the AU MAT entrance exam or CAT examination and score average marks. Based on the eligibility you will be selected.

The recent cutoff trend for the MBA program at Alliance is as follows.

Examination

Cutoff

CAT

75

NMAT

100

MAT

65

But the problem as of now is not getting admission here. The management of the college has some internal issues and it would be a good choice for you to take admissions elsewhere until they solve the internal issues between them.

Which is better for doing a distance learning for an MBA, Alliance University or IGNOU?

A
Admin Posted On : May 2nd, 2022

Alliance University does not provide Distance- learning or any course as the courses are full-time and require students’ attention. Alliance University is the best university for B-school with the best management courses in South India and the alliance's flagship program is also MBA with very good faculties and placements offers. As much as I know Distance learning will not help you, because what a student can learn and interact with within a physical classroom, that quality can’t be there in E-learning or distance learning. Alliance University offers 5 specializations in the field of MBA which are, Marketing, Finance, HRM, OM, and International Business. Every specialization has its own merits including which alliance provides field visits, company visits, interactive classroom sessions, debating, and presentation skills, alliance emphasizes all these aspects of a student for the complete growth of a student.

Now, if we will talk about IGNOU, this college offers a distance learning MBA and four post-graduate diploma courses under its school of management.

Here is the list of management courses offered by IGNOU

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM)
  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDMM)
  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Operations Management (PGDOM)
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM)
  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Financial Markets Practice (PGDFMP)

I will suggest you go with Alliance university because the quality alliance provides with best faculties, which no college can provide, and this is the statement that the students of alliance university only say. IGNOU is no doubt a reputed and excellent college but chooses full-time learning over distance learning, as you’ll get many new experiences and learning also. All the best!

Is Alliance University good for a PGDM? Are all the management issues sorted now? How are the placements as of now? How good is the ROI?

RK
Revaansh Khurana Posted On : July 23rd, 2021
Studied at Alliance University

Alliance University Bangalore now offers an MBA instead of the earlier DGDM degree through its two schools; Alliance School of Business and Alliance Ascent College. Make sure first which one you are applying to.

Alliance University once used to be one of the best management institutes in Bangalore but now has lost its credibility among the students due to various reasons.

As for the placements, it is still decent according to the latest reports of the institute. For the year 2020, the university reported the highest salary and the average salary of the MBA programs to be INR 22.6 lakhs per annum and INR 7.6 lakhs per annum respectively.

The fee structure for MBA at both the schools at Alliance University is given in the table below –

Particulars Alliance School of Business Alliance Ascent College
Tuition Fee INR 13.50 lakhs INR 9 lakhs
Registration Fee INR 50,000 INR 50,000

The university offers hostel accommodation and charges INR 81,000 and INR 96,000 for double occupancy and single occupancy rooms respectively for 6 months at its Central Campus.

When looking at the fee, the Return on Investment (ROI) does not look great. Many other universities will provide better exposure.
