Does a backlog affect placements in NIT Jalandhar?
Whether a backlog affects placements in NIT Jalandhar or not varies from company to company. These are various circumstances of backlogs and their consequences:

No current backlogs: this means you had a backlog in previous years that has already been cleared. In this case, most companies allow you to sit for placements.

- Electricity supply: The institute has a poor electricity supply and there isn’t even a generator facility.
- Library: The library is under-stocked and most of the books you will need won’t be available. Moreover, it is so small that you will feel cramped here.
Considering all the above points, I don’t think it’s wise to join CUSAT in Kuttanad for Engineering.
What should I chose between IIT Mandi Electrical and IIIT Allahabad IT?
Both IIT Mandi and IIIT Allahabad are reputable institutions with strong programs in their respective fields. IIT Mandi offers an Electrical Engineering program, while IT Allahabad offers an Information Technology program. If you are interested in pursuing a career in electrical engineering, then IT Mandi would be the better choice. On the other hand, if you are more interested in information technology and computer science, then IT Allahabad would be the better choice. After the completion of my MBA from IIM Trichy, I realized that the placements were decent and in accordance with the IIM standards. Most students got expected or more than expected-CTCs.
