Which is a better choice between IIIT Bangalore ECE M.Tech and NIT Surathkal Electrical?
I am listing down certain parameters for a better comparison between both these options-
- Curriculum- In terms of curriculum, IIIT Bangalore is ahead of NIT Surathkal. At IIIT B, you’ll start learning core subjects from day 1 itself. At NITs, on the other hand, first-year students are taught Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Engineering Drawing, and other subjects that won’t be useful for Electrical studies. Also, at IIITB you’ll be solving industry-relevant assignments, which will give you a good insight into the requirements of your field. The curriculum at IIITB is far more updated and advanced.
- Faculty- Even in terms of faculty, IIIT Bangalore is ahead of NIT Surathkal. They will give you all the relevant information on recent developments in the field of research.
- Placements- Both campuses are visited by well-known brands for placements. With an 8+ GPA, you’ll be eligible to sit for placements at all core companies. Maintain good scores and proper knowledge of your field to get placed in a good company, at a package of 20+ LPA CTC.
- College Life- IIIT Bangalore has a small campus and no good fests. On the other hand, NITK has a huge campus with a private beach. So NITK definitely offers a better campus life.
- Location- Location-wise, IIIT Bangalore has a greater advantage as it is located in Bangalore. NITK is located in the small town of Surathkal.
Both the colleges are really good. I would recommend you make your decision based on the branch you are interested in studying.

Techno India University commonly called as TIU & Techno India salt lake (TISL) have a common thing that they fall under one group that is TIG( TECHNO INDIA GROUP), Kolkata although considering TISL as the main campus because TIU is an autonomous one.
Techno India salt lake is affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University Of Technology (MAKAUT), which offers both UG and PG courses. The admission here is done on merit basis as it accepts the scores of WBJEE, JEE (Main) , MAT, JEMAT & JECA.
Techno India University is affiliated to WBUT (West Bengal university of technology) , which offers UG , PG & Doctorate courses. It also has accreditation from the NBA & is approved by AICTE. IIT BHU is among the top Engineering colleges in India. NIRF 2020 has ranked IIT BHU in the 11th position for BTech. The average placement rate for all branches at the institute is 71%.

From the Electronics Engineering department at IIT-BHU, almost 95% of the students get placed each year. Placements of Electronics are par with Computer Science Placements.

Rather than giving you a direct answer, I am going to evaluate all The aforementioned institutes individually on the basis of some common parameters like placements, brand name, campus life, opportunities, and alumni.
IIT BHU ECE
- Core placements are rare and students mostly build their profile for software development companies by becoming proficient in various programming languages, doing competitive coding, doing projects, and trying to build a computer science-inclined profile. A handful of students target core engineering roles.
- The brand value is similar to other colleges mentioned
- The campus is rather old and might disappoint freshers expecting a good college life.
IIT Guwahati ECE
- Unfortunately, I have no knowledge about this Institute. However, I recommend you contact the seniors of IIT Guwahati for the same.
IIT Hyderabad Maths and Computing
- Usually, MNCs attract top-tier software and financial services firms. If you are a hardworking student, it wouldn’t be difficult to secure amazing offers at top firms.
IIIT Hyderabad CSE
- IIIT H has possibly one of the best computer science departments in the country.
- You have to do core computer science courses right from the first year.
- Many students get selected for Google Summer of Code and IIIT Hyderabad has its alumni in top-notch firms.
- Being highly academically oriented, IIIT Hyderabad has minimal campus life and extracurricular activities.
Ultimately, it’s a matter of preferences and what you are looking for in your degree.
Which college is better for mechanical engineering, PES University or MSRIT?
PES(People Education Society) and MSRIT(Ramaiah Institute of Technology ) are one of the oldest and reputed engineering colleges in India. According to NIRF Engineering ranking 2020, MSRIT stands at 59th position and PES university stands at 93rd position. Both colleges have good placement records and offer the best facilities to their students. The colleges offer various specialization in undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses.

Which is better LBSIM, Delhi PGDM (general) or IMI, Delhi PGDM (B&FS)?
PGDM BFS is a viable option if you are keen about numbers and finance in general. PGDM core and PGDM BFS rarely has a major difference in curriculum except that marketing subjects of BFS would be less intriguing and the major pedagogy is directed towards marketing of finance products and services only.
A PGDM core student is open to a plethora of opportunities during placements as he is eligible to appear for companies offering marketing and sales profiles. On the contrary, a PGDM BFS student has been exposed to a customized curriculum that focuses mainly on Finance and lacks a wide range of opportunities. However, he has a more definite chance of securing placement at a company offering Finance roles like Banks and other financial institutions. This advantage seems very minimal right now but with the increase in the relevance of the curriculum and demand of the course, it will soon be coveted among Finance aspirants.
The BFS faculties are considered to be among the best given the excellent performance of BFS students in the recent years and the increasing popularity of the course. The companies visiting the campus for BFS are not only banks but include AMCs, NBFCs, FinTechs and other Fin Services firms. The course targets the entire Banking and Finance sector.
At the end of the day, what remains of your college life is not the specific course you chose but the college you chose to pursue it. Be it PGDM Core or PGDM BFS, IMI Delhi is the perfect college to experience a great college life.
Which one is better in IIM Trichy or MDI IM course?
Earlier there was a major difference in the placement scenario of both the courses and institutes. For the IM course, one had to study at a foreign business school, with which MDI has a tie-up during the second year, and manage your internship on your own. Moreover, they let you sit for the final placements only.
On the other hand, at IIM you can avail of the summer placements, and PPO and then even sit for final placements.
Fortunately now, the PGPIM is a 2-year residential course at MDI Gurgaon campus only, with summer and final placements happening along with the PGP students. Through this, it has overcome its shortcomings of average final placements and is a much better option than IIM Trichy.
Which is better, NIT Jamshedpur for ECE or NIT Warangal for Chemical?
The answer depends on what is more important for you - the college or the course.
NIT Warangal is overall ahead of NIT Jamshedpur in many respects. NIT Warangal offers better facilities, better academic infrastructure, and more opportunities. The academic infrastructure of NIT Jamshedpur isn’t that good, and the labs contain outdated equipment.
But if you have an interest in a particular branch, go for it, regardless of which institute you get.
