Mrs. Aditi Lule has been working as an Assistant Professor at Symbiosis School of Planning, Architecture and Design, Nagpur, Maharashtra. She has done BFA in Applied Arts, BA in Sanskrit and MFA too in Applied Arts along with a Certificate course in French and all from Nagpur University as part of her education. She knows various languages including Marathi, Hindi, English, Basic Sanskrit and Basic French and is also Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop and CorelDraw. She started her professional journey in 2005 as a Graphic Designer and later worked as a Freelance Illustrator, Visiting Faculty and Assistant Professor. She is currently pursuing her PhD Degree in Fine Arts from Nagpur University of Maharashtra. And for the same, she has presented and published 3 research papers in various national and international conferences. She was awarded as best presenter at Sampark Business platform and also with Govt. Merit Certificates in Annual Art exhibition in 2006 and 2007.

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

As we all know that the education sector is very vast and dynamic in nature and to stay in sync with its trends and developments, both teachers as well as students need to upgrade their skills and knowledge on a continuous basis. And leading is more or less similar to teaching and I believe the immense happiness and satisfaction I receive after educating my students keeps me associated with the education sector.

In your opinion, what are some myths that students currently have for Bachelor in Design Degree courses?

There are many myths which our students have for the B.Des Degree course and the very first misconception among them is that this course revolves around drawing and coloring only and Graphic Designing is only for print mediums. Apart from this, another myth they have in their mind is that one needs fancy tools for creating designs. But I would like to rest assure them nothing from these is true and the course is totally amazing in all aspects.

SSPAD is an institution that brings together a perfect blend of three streams including User Experience Design, Interior Design and Graphic Design under one roof. And all our programs concentrate on developing crucial skills, knowledge and a problem-solving attitude among students who graduate from symbiosis not merely as Designers, but also as a socially aware citizen of India. Do students need to fulfill any prerequisites or must have any skills before pursuing the Design Programs from SSPAD, Nagpur?

In my experience, a Designing aspirant should develop presentation, communication and essential Portfolio Making skills. And Designing is a very demanding domain and asks for a detail oriented person who has creative skills as their most important qualification. So overall students must possess these qualities before pursuing a Design program from our Symbiosis School of Planning, Architecture and Design.

How do you build a strong connection between your college's courses and industry requirements?

For the purpose of uniting our courses and industry demands and improving the quality of technical education we offer to students so that we can remain compliant with educational and industrial standards, our college regularly organizes industry interaction sessions. Apart from this, industry academia conclaves, guest lectures, site visits and seminars are conducted to bridge the gaps between our courses and corporate requirements.

On which kinds of projects your students are currently working on under the B. Des Program of SSPAD?

Our students are currently working on a wide variety of projects and while some of them are doing projects related to Furniture Design, Branding, Publication Design, Brochure Design, Product Packaging Design, many of them are developing UI of Mobile Applications and designing Brand and Logo Designs and Lighting Design etc.

In your opinion, what career options would be available for students after pursuing B.Des course from SSPAD?

In my viewpoint, students will be having limitless, flexible and profitable career opportunities post pursuing a B.Des Degree course from our college and they can primarily work in the both private and public sector organizations like Samsung and Reebok as an Industrial Designers, Art Directors, Graphic Designer or Fashion Designer etc.

Which extracurricular activities are organized by your college to enhance the skills of students?

Our college understands the fact that co-curricular activities are very important for students along with good education in order to help them grow on both personal and professional levels. Hence we regularly organize a diverse range of competitions, exhibitions and cossart fests to enhance students' skills and make them ready for this cut-throat competitive world.

How does the B.Des course differ from other professional courses?

The domain of Designing is driving people's focus in terms of what Designers do and what they work on. And besides delivering great products and experiences to customers, Designers and their design skills are considered an important factor in deriving success for any business and also to solve complex human issues.

Any valuable suggestions which you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

I would like to advise my dear students to keep upgrading their skills and knowledge, build a strong professional network and stay open for criticism. In addition to this, I would suggest they acquire essential creative thinking and problem solving skills as all of these are necessary at every stage of life.
