Pune, 6th September 2022: MIT World Peace University (Formerly MIT Pune), the leading private education university in India, has launched its BBA (Hons) Branding and Advertising and BBA Branding and Advertising programs designed to be the perfect blend of humanities, commerce and marketing. The newly launched application-oriented program enables students to work on real-world brand management and advertising challenges, acting as a launch pad for global marketing leaders. Under the aegis of the School of Management (UG), the University is inviting applications from interested students to its dynamic, future-ready three-year and four-year programs.

The BBA (Hons) Branding and Advertising and BBA Branding and Advertising programs under the School of Management (UG) comprise fundamental principles in the domains of Finance, Accounting, Marketing and Operations. The School of Management (UG) seeks to develop new skills and introduce students to a host of personal, academic, and social challenges to develop into holistic, all-rounded marketing professionals. Furthermore, the course content is also delivered by international faculty from eminent universities and helps in gaining a wide variety of industry insights. 

Value Proposition Offered:

The BBA (Hons) Branding and Advertising and BBA Branding and Advertising programs provide relevant industry exposure to students and facilitate higher chances of employability with a range of internship opportunities across various sectors. In the first three years, students pursuing either of the courses will be exposed to experiential learning opportunities through –

  • visits to top advertising agencies and interactions with renowned ad directors 
  • participation in Goa Film Festival or Serendipity Festival, Goa; 
  • design studio trips to the UK and France; and participate in the International Short Film Festival with FTII. 
  • A DSA-DSL camera is also provided to all the students

Furthermore, the fourth-year students pursuing the BBA (Hons) Branding and Advertising program are given the opportunity to participate in the Advertising Film Festival in association with TAC (The Advertising Club). Additionally, fourth-year students will also have an opportunity to undergo internships with top agencies in India for six months. 

Upon completion of the program, graduates have previously secured packages up to 10 LPA and received 100% placement assistance from the University’s Centre for Industry-Academia Partnerships (CIAP). Owing to the extensive industry connections, regular recruiters include Deloitte, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, Syntel, Tata Communications, Wipro and more.

To be eligible for the reputed programs, interested candidates must have cleared 10+2 from any stream with English as a passing subject with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reservation category) in aggregate.

MIT-WPU triumphant at BAJA SAEINDIA 2022, Team Piranha Racing creates history

MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU)’s Mechanical Engineering Department incubated Team Piranha Racing has created history at this year’s BAJA SAEINDIA 2022 event by securing second place overall. Held at NATRAX, Pithampur from 5th-10th April, the event saw the Pune-based team clear all the three phases - Preliminary Round, Virtual Round and Physical Round - of the competition. Participating in their 13th year, the 29-member team consisting of first to final year students were triumphant across a host of categories showcasing their mobility knowledge, including their understanding and experience of industrial design and engineering.

Mrudula Joshi and Atharva Bhosale, the ace drivers of Piranha Racing shone for their team and endured a rigorous 4-hour drive to secure the third place across the tough durability endurance race thus showcasing the reliability of the ATV (all-terrain vehicle) the students built. Under the guidance of Dr. Sachin Deshmukh, Faculty Advisor, Mechanical Engineering, and the able leadership of Team Captain Hammad Anwer, Team Piranha concluded the BAJA SAEINDIA ‘22 season with flying colours. Further, all BAJA SAEINDIA events were live-streamed for viewers across the globe to tune in and support their teams.

In addition to the multiple first-place awards secured, the Piranha Racing team also won a plethora of awards in other categories such as second prizes in Virtual Dynamics and Best 4-Wheel Drive; and were second runners-up in Suspension and Traction (Virtual), Overall Statistics, Suspension and Traction (Physical), Durability and Endurance, and Overall Physical Dynamics. All teams at SAEINDIA ‘22 underwent a series of tests to ascertain their technical and professional capabilities.

As part of the Phase 1 Preliminary Round, Team Piranha Racing focused on the virtual -presentation showcasing the finalized design of their buggy. Phase 2 consisted of Virtual Dynamic Events and Digital Static Events with the help of specialized software and platforms to evaluate various elements such as Design, Cost, Manufacturing and Sales Presentation, Acceleration, Brake, Gradeability, Suspension and Traction, Manoeuvrability and All-Terrain Performance. The final leg, i.e. Phase 3 was held at Pithampur, Indore and evaluated the Acceleration, Manoeuvrability, Suspension and Traction of the buggies through a host of Dynamic Events.
