MIT Pune B.Com Course

MIT WPU School of Commerce offers a B.Com program with a 3-year trimester pattern. The university also offers B.Com (Hons.) in collaboration with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK. In addition to this, MIT also has a 4-year full-time B.Com (Hons) in Advanced Accounting and Auditing course. The 4 years UG program is mapped with the subjects from the Chartered Accountancy Course offered by ICAI.

MIT Pune B.Com Eligibility Criteria

Minimum 50% aggregate score in 10+2/Class 12th or equivalent examination with English subject in any stream from Govt. Approved Institution or equivalent (at least 45% marks, in case of Reserved Class category candidate belonging to Maharashtra State only)

OR

Minimum 60% aggregate score in 3-year Diploma from any Govt approved Institution or equivalent with English as a subject.

OR

Minimum 60% aggregate score in Competency and Vocational Courses (MCVC) from any Govt approved Institution or equivalent with English as a subject.

MIT Pune B.Com Selection Criteria

The selection process for the B.Com regular programs is based on the MIT-WPU CET Entrance Exam 2024 and Personal Interview (PI) score. There are two steps to the selection process at MIT Pune:

Step 1) MIT-WPU CET General 2024 - Online proctored entrance exam

Step 2) Personal Interview MIT-WPU CET General 2023 Exam Pattern: The online proctored entrance exam consists of 100 objective-type questions worth 100 marks, with 100 questions altogether and an hour total of testing time.

MIT Pune B.Com Admission Procedure

Admission to the MITWPU is based on entrance test scores. Interested candidates can apply via offline and online modes at admissions.mitwpu.edu.in.

How To Apply?

Online Mode:

• The candidate has to start the application at admissions.mitwpu.edu.in. by filling out the inquiry
• After that, the candidate will get their login ID and password.
• The applicant must complete the Application Form and turn it in, making sure to pay the INR 1,500 application cost for the admission exam.
• The candidate will be provided with the necessary link to the MIT-WPU CET process, and they must appear on the day that appears on their student dashboard or website.
• Once results are announced (dates notified via email), the candidate can view their results on the Application Student Dashboard.
• A provisional offer of admission will be given (if selected, on registered email)
• Complete the application by paying the programme Fee Payment (1st Instalment)
• The candidate has to complete all sections of Registration Portal (Payment/ Personal/Education/Documents)
• They will then receive a Student PRN (Permanent Registration Number) on registered email
• The application is finished once the original document has been submitted.

Offline Mode:

• Download the application form from the official website of MITWPU.
• Pay the application fee of INR 1,500 through challan.
• Submit the duly filled form at the MITWPU or admission office.

MIT Pune B.Com Scholarships

MIT provides meritorious scholarships to deserving students. The scholarships are offered based on entrance as well as merit. MIT-WPU awards scholarships to its meritorious students based on their academic performance in requisite National/State Level Entrance Exam scores and the MIT-WPU CET Examination, conducted by MIT-WPU, for the academic year 2024-25. These scholarships are valid for the duration of the program. All scholarships are awarded on a first come first serve basis and as fee adjustments. Throughout the program, a minimum level of academic performance must be maintained at an 8 CGPA throughout all semesters in order to retain the scholarship, and attendance must be maintained at a minimum of 80%. Furthermore, the pupil shouldn't face any disciplinary action. The scholarships offered to the students of the B.Com program are given below:

• Karad, Dr. Vishwanath Merit Scholarship, AY 2024–2025: This scholarship offers the top 3% of incoming students a 100% fee waiver for the length of the program. (Subject to the fulfillment of the requirements outlined in the relevant policy.)
• MIT-WPU Merit Award AY 2024–2025: This award is available to 8% of the total number of students enrolled and offers a 50% fee remission for the length of the program. (Subject to the fulfillment of the requirements outlined in the relevant policy.)
• Scholarships for Elite Sports Persons AY 2024-25: Deserving athletes receive this scholarship in accordance with their participation in and results from nationally and internationally renowned sporting tournaments and events. The Elite Sportsperson Scholarship would be available to any candidate who competes in or wins a medal at the national or international level in individual or team sports, at the west zone inter-university, all India inter-university, national or international level, while representing MIT-WPU or competing for any officially recognized official sports organization [IOA, BCCI, etc.].
