Haryana LEET 2022 Eligibility

Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) conducts the HLEET (Haryana Lateral entry entrance test) to provide admission in 2nd year or third semester of B.E/B.Tech. courses in the technical institutes of Haryana.

The candidate needs to have a diploma in Engineering/ Technology with minimum 45% marks in aggregate (42.75% in case of SC category) from Haryana State Board of Technical Education or any other equivalent board to be eligible for the examination.

The candidates applying for different courses have different eligibilities. The candidates having a diploma in Architecture Engineering of three years can also apply.


Educational Qualifications

The candidate needs to fulfil the following educational qualifications for admission to 2nd year (3rd Semester) of B.E. / B.Tech. Courses:

  • At least 45% aggregate marks in Diploma in Engineering/ Technology of a duration of 3 years or more from Haryana State Board of Technical Education or any equivalent institution.
  • B.Sc Degree obtained from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.
  • The candidates having a diploma in architecture engineering of three years can also apply for the HLEET 2022.

Important points for B.Sc Degree Candidates

  • B.Sc stream candidates must clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year engineering program along with the second Year subjects.
  • B.Sc. stream students shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.

Reserved Category Eligibility

Reserved categories fulfil the following minimum educational qualification for admission to 2nd year (3rd Semester) of B.E. / B.Tech. Courses:

SC Category

  • At least 42.75% marks in aggregate in Diploma in Engineering/ Technology of a duration of 3 years or more from Haryana State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent.
  • B.Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with a least 42.75% marks and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.

Kashmiri Migrants

A relaxation upto 10% in cut-off is available for Kashmiri Migrants (KM). However, this is subject to minimum eligibility Requirement. Each University/ institute under HSTES reserves a seat for Kashmiri migrants for LEET 2022

. The seats will be filled up on supernumerary basis on the inter-se-merit of percentage of qualifying exam through Online counselling at www.techadmissionshry.gov.in by Haryana State Technical Education Society.

Kashmiri Migrant candidates must possess the original certificate of migration signed by the competent authority or Relief Commissioner. This certificate will be required during the HLEET 2022 Selection Process. The candidates with Diploma in Architecture are eligible to take admission under Lateral Entry Program only for B.E/B.Tech. Civil Engineering

In case there is a tie breaker situation for eligibility, the following criteria will be followed to break-up the tie if two candidates secure the same marks in qualifying Examination:

  • The candidate who has secured higher marks in the aggregate of 10th exam shall rank higher in order of merit.
  • The candidate who is elder in age shall rank higher in order of merit.

Applicants under this category will have to apply online and submit the application fee online through www.onlinetesthry.gov.in by generating E-Challan.

It is important that the candidates take printout of online filled application form and deposit the same in the office of HSTES, before the closing date along with the attested copy of following documents:

  • Attested copy of Migration Certificate dully signed by competent authority or Relief Commissioner
  • Attested copy of DMC of qualifying examination
  • Attested copy of DMC of 10th
  • Proof of application fee deposition

Haryana Candidates

Haryana Residents are also entitled for admission against All India Category seats.

Physically handicapped Candidates

Only the candidates having the permanent disability of not less than 40% (being otherwise fit for admission to the course) will be considered for admission as Physically Handicapped.

Disability certificate must be issued from Chief Medical Officer of the concerned District. However, the certificate shall be subject to verification by a Medical Board constituted by the affiliating university for the purpose.

The decision of the Board shall be final.


Other Important Points

Students who have passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology from an AICTE/UGC approved institute or B.Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, shall also be eligible for admission to the first year Engineering Degree courses subject to vacancies in the first year class in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

As per AICTE, seats in lateral entry may be taken up to a maximum of 20% of sanctioned intake.

Candidates with Diploma in Architecture are eligible to seek admission under Lateral Entry Program only for B.E/B.Tech. Civil Engineering.

Candidates should note that mere possession of the prescribed minimum academic qualifications does not entitle a candidate for admission to B.E./B.Tech (Lateral Entry) courses. It only makes them eligible to appear for the online exam.

Candidates, who are appearing in the qualifying examination this year and are expecting to pass the same, can also compete for B.E./B.Tech(LEET)-2022 entrance exam.


Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme

TFWS is a scheme applicable to all approved Technical Institutions offering Bachelor Programs, Diploma and Post Diploma program and lateral entry provisions of these programs.

According to this scheme, seats up to maximum 5 percent of sanctioned intake per course shall be available for these admissions. The nature of these seats shall be supernumerary.

The Waiver is only applicable to the tuition fee as approved by the State Level Fee Committee for self-financing Institutions and by the Government for the Government and Government Aided Institutions. All other Fee except tuition fees will have to be paid by the beneficiary.

Applicant’s parents under the TWF scheme should have annual income is less than Rs. 6.00 lakhs from all sources in order to avail this scheme.

Candidate applying to TFW category in B.Tech (Lateral Entry) are also required to take printout of online filled application form and deposit the same in the office of HSTES, before closing date along with the attested copies of following documents:

  • Income Certificate of the parents from all sources from the Organization where parents are working or Affidavit of Income on stamp paper from Notary (Annual income of Parents / Guardians should be less than Rs. 6.00 lakh from all sources.
  • Haryana Resident Certificate (in case candidate has not passed / appeared in the qualifying examination from Haryana).
  • Proof of Entrance Test Fee deposition.

Candidates using the Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) are required to fill online application form on www.onlinetesthry.gov.in.

Applicants after submitting the application will get unique application form number which may be used by the candidate for any correspondence with HSTES.
