What students say about Daulat Ram College - [DRC]

Likes

  • Focus on study and teacher try their best to teach .
  • I like infrastructure of campus is nice Library is very good
  • The Faculty is too good and the students get good opportunities support from all staffs.
  • My experience at the college is so good, life is so good at the campus
  • The events and fests are so happening , the faculty is so good
  • Everything I liked about my university (delhi university)such a amazing college where i got an admission.
  • I liked the campus the environment the helpful teachers and and the girl support

Dislike

  • Classes are very small in size and the worst thing was to manage anyhow, but blind children suffer more than us.
  • I was in B.Sc. Hons, so there was no internship in my course. As a result, no company has approached me for an internship. Due to these reasons, I have no internship experience, nor have I joined any company for an internship till now.
  • There is no campus placement in our course, and there are not many job opportunities in this course. I have done the course because I like to learn, and for a job, we have to struggle ourselves only.
  • All the books were usually outdated; remember Im speaking from the B.Com Hons point of view.
  • I can tell you about the canteen. It was a total mess with very bad quality food, and oil was dripping from everywhere.
  • Well, it was my college, so I wont say it was bad, but some changes are required.

Placement Experience:

You can apply for placements in your 6th semester. I'll mention the name of the companies and the packages they offered in the bracket The companies that visited at our time were DeShaw(24 lpa), Deloitte (6 lpa), TresVista (6 lpa), and Accenture (6 lpa, and also had to tie up with XLRI). You can find the name of the companies on the Instagram handle (pcelldrc). The profiles that were offered were HR, CFO, Analyst, Graduate Trainee, Business Development Executive, Associate The highest package offered - was 24 lpa (this was not in hand). Only one person could get this. And she was from Eco Hons The average package offered is 5-6 lpa. 70% of the students get placed. Of the rest, 30% opt out and some do not get any placement. I had planned to pursue MBA after graduation therefore didn't take up the offer even after getting placed.

Remarks:

I had met the cut-off of various South campus colleges, but since I wanted to take admitted to North Campus, I waited for the fourth cut-off, and then I was granted admission to DRC, I couldn't make it to SRCC which was obviously my dream college but nonetheless as they say everything happens for a reason and I do believe that. I was granted admission to DRC only on the basis of marks and no other quota was applied. The admission criteria for B.Com(Hons) is - we must have studied Maths till class 12th and other than that there's no compulsion of subjects, for a better idea one should always refer to the manual as it might change with time. Minimum marks in 12th - 50% though I don't remember that exactly, as how does it even matter, for a general category The admission process is like this, after checking the cut-off list you rush to the college with all the required documents and then there they explain to you the further procedure.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because finance and marketing are my core favorite I liked the accounting work and I felt it was something I used to adore. The faculty and student ratio was 3:10 in my college. The faculty was so authentic and purely genuine with their work that it left zero doubts in students' minds. We had 6 semesters, and it was a moderate-level exam.

Remarks:

should have been a commerce student with maths as an additional subject and the minimum percentage should be about 70% as the university provides certain applicants the benefits of being in college. all the details are available on the Delhi University site. Getting an email from the university is helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose b.com hons. because in Daulat Ram College the economics teacher is very great and also in this college placements are also available. student-faculty is normally not so much high. student ratio is every batch approx 150-200. in Daulat Ram, the college exam is always on time. tough exam and so much difficulty in passing. but if you can study in proper time definability you will pass with good marks.

Remarks:

Nowadays selection process is an entrance exam. according to the course, the cut-off goes. in medium college first cut-off at Delhi University is around 93+ the second cut-off is 91+ and the third is to be 89+ approx. competition is always tough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Due to my commerce background, I was into this. Faculty to student ratio is 1:50 I guess. Faculty have a minimum master's and a maximum of a PhD in the field Timely exams every two months. Exams were easy but checking was tough.

Remarks:

Admission was through pure cutoff and I got a seat after the second cut-off round. Eligibility of the course is commerce background and the minimum cutoff is each subject and an overall cutoff. I went to college with my father for admission. No reservation benefit is availed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty is very nice and their teaching skill is also very nice I love their method how they easily clear our doubts and their polite behaviour but we need to study hard because the competition is very much there all are best so we need to work hard and I love my faculty and my teacher's methods.

Remarks:

The admission process was not so really tough I find the form from the du website and also my elder brother is a mentor who provide me with the information about this university this is the best university kn India delhi university was my dream.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course because it was easy and benefit for me. The student ratio is very good here. The faculty is fine but the teaching method is somehow not good. The term exams are held after 6 months and it was not difficult to pass the exam you just need to study hard.

Remarks:

The admission process was online so it was a little bit easy to fill out the admission form. 12th-pass students can fill out the form. The application form will be on the official site of the university. No need to change anything in the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had a very keen interest in Chemistry so I decided to pursue it further. The ratio is 3:16 for my course. The faculty is really hardworking and dedicated. All the teachers make sure that the students get the best of their knowledge and are really helpful. The term exams were supposed to be difficult but they were quite easy since we were provided with the good guidance and time management skills.

Remarks:

It was cut off based on the 12th percentage. The cut-off for my course was 94%. I had no reservations about benefits. The improvement I would like to suggest is that the verification process takes too long, but it should be done quickly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose zoology honors. It's a quite difficult one if you don't choose to study regularly. The faculty is okayish. There's no such thing as called 'friendly environment' in the college. The exam pattern is a little hard so it's not that scoring. But overall it's a good, go-with-the-flow kind of course.

Remarks:

The admission was based on the cutoffs of the course. It was smooth and simple as the whole application process was online and we just had to see the cutoff and apply to that respective college. If we got the approval then we can pay the fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement is below average in my department. Very few students get placed in college. However companies like Deloitte, Infosys, and Wipro come for the posts of a data analyst, human resource department, etc. The highest packages are approx. 10 LPA whereas on average, 4 LPA is the package received by students. Students are mostly placed in the final semester.

Remarks:

In 2020, the eligibility criteria for maths honors was that one should have maths in class 12th and should have scored more than 50 percent in that. Then, I filled DU registration form which was available on the Delhi University website and cost around 250 I guess for females. I was in obc so got cut-offs, I had a slight advantage of 1 to 2 percent in comparison to the general category. Now, this admission process has ended and now cuet has been introduced under NEP.
