I am interested in the research sector, especially in nanoparticles so I opted for chemistry hons. Specifically, Delhi University has always been a great attraction for students. And the faculty for our department is appropriate in number. There is 1 teacher for every 10 -15 students. Most of the faculty members have done Ph.D. And exams come of moderate level which is always from the curriculum studied in the class.
I Chose This Course Because I Liked Chemistry And Bio Both, And Did Not Want To Opt For Hons Courses. In Miranda Faculty: The student Ratio Is Somewhat Like 1:20 . This Is Similar To Most Of The Colleges In Du. Faculty In Miranda House Is the Greatest Of Great, All The Professors Have Studied From Well Known Reputed Colleges, Plus They All Have Research Background From Foreign Universities Like John Hopkins, Oxford, Etc. Teaching Method Is Basically Through Digital Ppts & Lecture Offered By Professors. Exams Were Like 2 Semester In A Year Like Every Other College. But The Tests That Were Taken In Class Were Easy And Designed To Help Students Understand The Practical And The Subject They Were Studying Throughout The Year.
I had an interest in Physics and I want to make my career in physics. The faulty: student ratio is about 1:20. All are doctorates in their respective fields. All exams were on time and if you study well then you are going to pass otherwise you will not.
I am pursuing B.Sc. Physics Honors as I have a keen interest in the research field, so I like to apply for physics only. The physics department faculty is quite good although the strength of our batch is too much but it is manageable. The faculty is good and make us understand very easily. As we are from the Covid batch so our previous semesters were quite short say 3 or 4 months course, but now again it's a complete course.
I choose BSC physical sciences because I want to pursue a Master's in physical sciences and it's a good course to do. as per students in one class 50-60 professors are also nearly 20-30. The teachers are very nice with good in nature. they help us out with study and also other than study All teachers are Ph.D. We have a semester system and they are not that tough.
Life Sciences is the study of life which helps one to explore and touch upon various aspects of biological science and understand one's area of interest. Somebody who is interested in the field of research in biology should definitely pursue this course to understand deeply their area of interest. Miranda House has a beautiful campus and amazing teachers. The biology labs are well-equipped and the teachers are really knowledgeable and kind. There are 2 teachers per 50 students. The teachers are well qualified and mostly PhD holders in their subjects. The semester-end exams happen every 6 months and these can be easily passed if one is regular in classes and listen to their respective teachers.
My main interest of mine was in agriculture because I belong to a farming family and I want to help to grow farming with a combination of old and new techniques. But due to some reasons, I did not get this course. after that, I decided to choose that course. The faculty and student ratio is almost fine .it is 1:20 all faculty members are Ph.D. holder and the teaching method is different for all teachers .it depend on them but the teachers really nice.
I choose the course because I like all the subjects in science especially Chemistry and Zoology and this course was having both the subjects no other courses was having 2 different subjects, which I like that's why I chose the course and in future, I can do masters in any one of subjects as it has made open a lot of career options in front of me. Student: faculty is pretty much good in my college 20:1 means there is one teacher over 20 students. The faculty members are having a Ph.D. degrees in their own respective subjects and they teach us the best they can they made us think in a unique way and because of them we have a unique perspective in different areas of life, studies, they make specific presentations and also allow us to make notes. Term exams always happen in around 6 months it is not at all difficult to pass because all the syllabi our professors cover make this priority first to teach us all the important topics and it has become easy to pass If we study from the PPT only
I preferred this course due to its further opportunities in msc faculty is good and students appear in nice ratio from 45 to 50 most faculty members have done Ph.D. in their respective field term exams are timely with semester wise and if you studied well then there will not be an issue
I choose B.Sc. life sciences because I want to study zoology botany and chemistry all in one course that's why I choose it. The atmosphere of the college is very nice teachers are Ph.D. holders. Their teaching method is so nice they make a friendly environment for students. There is a semester system at DU but before the final exam, we have soo many tests taken by our teachers to evaluate us for an internal exam.

Since 2022, there is CUET as the only option to get admission to the college. Earlier it was based on the percentage obtained in your class 12th. A situation that is still the same is that one has to get top marks in the cuet to get admission in Miranda House, as it is India's rank 1. One needs to follow the notification of CUET for admission-related notice. There are reservation criteria, providing relaxation for some numbers.
NKBy - Neha KumariMy admission was based on the percentage format. I applied for Sociology Hons. in the year 2021 and got admission to the Second Special Cut-off list. After that year, CUCET has been applied and the entire exam process has been revised totally.
PKBy - Pushpanjali KumariAt my time the admissions were completely merit based on the basis of 12th marks but now CUET is being introduced in Delhi University for admissions. The forms are available at nta site. CUET helps u not only to take admissions in DU but also in several other national and state university
