Lalbaba College, Howrah is a co-educational non-government grant-in-aid degree college located in the Eastern India. It is one of the prestigious institutions of higher learning. The college is affiliated to the University of Calcutta.

• The student’s union has organized ‘Baishe Sravana’ to pay homage to Kaviguru Rabindranath Tagore on his death Anniversary
• The college student’s celebrated Teachers’ Day to honour their teachers on the birthday of Sarbapally Radhakrishnan.
• For the fresher students every year students organize Baran (Freshers’ Welcome), a cultural programme for their Juniors with the active participation.
• Saraswati Puja and Vasanta Utsav are also being celebrated with great enthusiasm. Students’ Union also organize the Chhatra Utsav Fest for the students once in a year that encourages the students to participate in the music, plays, elocutions, quiz competitions and so many other cultural and non-cultural events.
• Annual Sports Meet is also organized by the students’ Union and large number of students participate in that with full of enthusiasm. At the end of the event prizes are being distributed to the winners.
• College magazine (Sagnik) is published every year which represents the efforts of the students as well as the teachers.
