To get admission to the BTech course in MAIT (part of GGSIPU) you have to clear the JEE exam which is held twice annually and according to the previous years' cutoff of MAIT, you can get to know a vague idea of the stream you might get here. In case, your rank is too low to even enter in the last course you can opt for admission through the management system. You have to pay a little extra but it can secure you a seat regardless of your rank. The reservation system is also followed here. For further details regarding the courses offered, fees system etc you can check the official GGSIPU website - ipu.ac.in
The college takes admission through JEE, after JEE advanced result, you need to fill GGSIPU counselling form to get admission (around June) there were 4 rounds and 2 spot rounds during my time, and a rank below 100,000 may get you CS if you are from Delhi
Candidates should be eligible after class 12. The entrance name is JEE Main. Application fees and dates will be updated on jeemain.nta.in. Best of luck IIT JEE aspirants. Everyone should give this entrance to become a good engineer.
I took JEE Mains and got a B.Tech AI&DS with 68321 ranks. I think the cutoff for my course was around 78k. Application forms can be found on the official website of IPU. Admission to other courses is through IPUTCET and JEE.
The admission process was smooth but lengthy I had to wait for 3 rounds in IPU counselling admission here is done on the basis of scorecard off jee(percentile) and then you have to register on ip university website which will cost you around 1,500 rupees and then you are eligible to sit for rounds to get college
Students must appear for JEE MAINS and apply separately for the GGSIPU Counselling process. Visit GGSIP's website - www.ipu.ac.in. Login and sign up with your JEE MAINS application number. The counselling process starts around 15 -20 days after the results of JEE MAINS. There are 3 rounds followed by 2 spot rounds.
To take admission in Mait in b. tech you have to give jee mains examination. Application formalities can be done through the ipu website i.e. ipu.admission.nic just after the jee mains examination. The seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC and PWD as well. There will be fewer cutoffs for this category and chances of admission are high. Improvement for the admission process is it is very slow and can be made faster.
You are eligible for the course if you have decent marks in jee mains you will get cse up to 1.2 L rank if you have done your 10th and 12th from Delhi. Delhi students are put above other state student. Through ipu counselling you can get into it. After jee main results keep an eye on ipu websites. You will get to know about everything related to the application form.
The admission process was very smooth. BY JEE(Joint Entrance Examination) Mains. The cutoff for AIML was around 80,000 AIR(All India Rank). After the result, the admission/counseling process was carried out on the IPU(Indraprastha University) website.
To be admitted into any college of IP University you have to take the JEE exam conducted by the government and for MAIT average cutoff is 30000. Delhi quota is applicable in this college. Also, OBC, SC, and ST quotas are also applicable.
If you are from the general category, then it is a bit difficult to get MAIT with a 5,160 rank in the spot round. However, you can try for the Mechanical branch in the third round of counseling.
Among MAIT, and BVP the former is the better option when compared in terms of academics, opportunities, and placement records of past years. The placement statistics recorded as per the latest recruitment drive are as follows for both the colleges.

IPU–CET is the annual university level entrance test conducted by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) to induct students to its various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the affiliated colleges as well as its own schools.
As far as marks are concerned GGSIPU does not reveal the marks but only the ranks of the students. Now, as far as ranks are concerned these are the required cutoffs for CSE in recent years.

MAIT- BTech CSE |

These are the ranks of the last round after which admission stops. Aim for a rank lower than that for getting admission in earlier rounds. Also as these are last-round ranks there is very little chance of the ranks getting any lower than that.
Yes, with a rank of 1953 you can get a CSE seat in both MAIT and MSIT, in the first shift itself. The points below provide a brief overview of your chances to get a seat with the specified rank, along with the requirement of counseling.
Therefore, there are good chances for you to get a CSE first shift seat in the spot counseling rounds.
You will definitely get the first shift in CSE at MAIT if you are from Delhi. However, you will not get the first shift from first counseling. If you are not a resident of Delhi, there are slim chances for you to get into MAIT. Even if you do end up getting admission to MAIT, you will probably get the second shift which I’ve heard from a friend of mine is just as good as the first shift.
According to the recent trends, the required cutoffs for MAIT for home students are from 15285 to 42615 and that from other states is 17952-27611.
My cousin studies at MAIT. He was a Delhiite and easily got through to the IT program. If your rank is 6,000 and you want IT or ECE, you need to sure about the following:
Both branches are good and the faculty for IT and ECE at MAIT is also excellent. The placements in these departments depend upon the amount of hard work you put in. However, the placement rate is almost always near 100.
Although, there are no safe and sure predictions for this because if luck favors you, they might even get ECE in the MAIT in spot counseling.
But with your rank, you can easily get into BVP or MSIT, so keep your options open and keep working towards it because overall in my estimation, the spot round will see you through.
One of my friends studied at MAIT. According to him, it is one of the decent choices for pursuing your engineering degree. The admission in MAIT depends upon various factors like:
Cut-Off for MAIT in Shift-1 |
||
Branch |
Delhi Region |
Outside Delhi Region |
CSE |
Min: 723 & Max: 1300 |
Min: 277 & Max: 548 |
Cut-Off for MAIT in Shift-2 |
||
Branch |
Delhi Region |
Outside Delhi Region |
CSE |
Min: 1538 & Max: 1962 |
Min: 592 & Max: 707 |
At your rank 1770, there are rare chances to get admission in B.Tech CSE through MAIT. However, you can get CSE through the shift-2 cut-off if you belong to the Delhi region. There are other branches as well which accept 1770 rank in the shift-1.
