So basically my course is ece and in my college, there is more focus on core ece more about chip making and all the stuff some courses are also related to computer branch but mostly is on ece faculty ratio to the student is good and teaching style of mostly teachers is great and exams are conducted by ggsipu.
In Electrical and Communication Engineering - 60% syllabus is related to coding and according to my rank, this is the best option. The faculty and students ratio is very good, no need to worry. There are many teachers who graduated from IIT and teachers are understanding, and have great knowledge in their field. Happy with teachers. There are mid-term and end-term examinations and questions in exams repeated and it's easy to pass.
As I am in Maharaja agrasen institute of Technology here curriculum and faculty members are good and in every lab, they have a lab assistant to help and you can ask any kind of doubt from them. Faculty-student ratio is good you don't have to wait for a long time to ask your doubts. The teaching method of the teacher is nice as they use the projector for good understanding. In one semester you have to take exams two times one is a midterm exam and the second is end term exam. Midterm takes a week to end and end term takes almost 15 to 20 days to end.
The course curriculum is the same as all the other engineering colleges in our country. Here faculties are well qualified and possess master's or Ph.D. degrees in their subject. But to be honest, there are both types of faculties one that wants to teach and provide valuable info and there is also another type that just wants to finish the curriculum and doesn't care if students understand or not. There is one faculty over a class of 70-80 students. In MAIT there is a semester of 6 months and every 3 months there are term exams to be quite Frank these exams are not so difficult to pass.
I was interested in Electronics and Communication that's why I chose this course. In one class there are approximately 60 students in theory and these 60 are further divided into 3 groups for lab work. The faculty are very good and also very kind always solving our doubt and most of the faculties has done Ph.D. Every 6 months end term exam happens and the difficulty is moderate.
I want to become a full-stack web developer. So I chose this course. Faculty: student ratio is 15:900. Qualification of faculty:- PhD, IITian. Some are good and some are average. Exams are timely like after 2 months of starting the semester and it is easier to pass if you study.
The course is good. you have the opportunity to take average or good on-campus placement. All faculty members are very highly qualified and experienced. This college gives too much placement in this course so I chose this course. approximately all faculty members have done Ph.D. Many of them have written books which are used in other colleges. Every year two semesters and in every semester there is one midterm exam and one end-term exam which is the final exam for a full semester. The third term is easy but the end term is difficult to pass.
First of all, both the branches differ a lot from each other. Thus, you need to understand which branch you are inclined to. Also, keep in mind that you can change your field from ECE to CSE but not vice versa. So, choosing CSE can get you an advantage in many ways. My friend is currently studying CSE in MSIT and here’s what his experience says.
Dedicated faculty: Most teachers are well experienced and really enjoy what they teach you. If you have even smallest of the doubts, do not hesitate as they will assist you whenever you need them. Especially in the CSE department, teachers are really cooperative.
Infrastructure: If you visit both MSIT and MAIT, you will find that MAIT has a tad bit better infrastructure.
Location: MSIT definitely has a location advantage as you can find various hangout spots around the institute and even the nearest metro of Janakpuri East is just 5 minutes away. On the other hand, MAIT lacks proximity to metro and hangout spots.
Placements: While both the colleges have great placements, the CSE branch will get you better packages and increased opportunities, like any other college In India.
According to the recent placement data the highest and average CTC offered at MSIT is 47 LPA and 3.6 LPA. For MAIT the average and highest CTC is 3 LPA and 28 LPA.
All in all, both MAIT and MSIT are reputed private colleges of Delhi. The biggest thing that makes the difference here is the branch you choose. No doubt CSE has an upper hand over ECE as mentioned above.
One of my cousins is an ECE graduate of BVCOE (IPU). Here are her two cents about the placement at the institute.
Thus, if you have scored 70% or above with no backlog history, then the chances of you obtaining a job in any IT company are good. In addition, if you are good with programming, then your chances of getting placed in top IT companies will considerably be more.
If you have an interest in ECE, you should go for it. Always give your interest your priority more than the reputation of the college. There is no confusion or doubt that MAIT is a good college but if you are not interested in that and opt for IT at MSIT. Factors like crowd, placement, staff, facilities, and exposure also matter.
Advantages of ECE in MAIT:
Categories | ECE at MAIT |
Course Fee | 4.69 lakh |
Highest CTC | 40 LPA |
Average CTC | 12 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | ZS Associates, JP Morgan, Amazon, Flipkart, etc. |
College like MAIT, if you have an interest in ECE it will take you to great heights, and if you discover later than you don't have any kind of interest in ECE. You can go for an MBA without any fear of attendance issues.
