Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose computer science because I love to code and I have a very much interest in web development. For every module there is a separate teacher suppose that there is 3 module in maths then there is 3 teacher for completing the module. Teachers use the green board and chalk for teaching and for complex structure teacher use projectors. All classroom have their separate projectors All teachers are well qualified and come from iit or jadhavpur like prestigious universities This is an autonomous institute So all papers and syllabi are conducted by heritage itself there is no involvement of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of technology. Semester papers are easy not so difficult

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is completed autonomously. I choose CSE because I want to become a coder. Student to faculty ratio is a single teacher in 50- 60 students class. The quality of teaching is very good. Qualification of the faculty is also great. All the exams are comparatively harder gate-level questions are given in the semester papers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I like coding and therefore I chose CSE. Faculty: Student ratio is 1:60 which is pretty good. All faculty teachers are good at their job and are helpful. Exams are conducted twice in 1 semester which is around 6 months. It's not that difficult to pass if one study's regularly.

Ques. Which is better for CSE, Techno India or the Heritage Institute of Technology?

● Top Answer By Indraneil Mondal on 17 Sept 21

Heritage is a very good institute if pursuing CSE is your goal. If we talk about the ranking of the private institutes in West Bengal, then IEM (Institute of Engineering and Management) is the best in the state, followed by Heritage Institute of Technology. Techno India Salt Lake is third in the ranking. Heritage Institute of Technology will give you a lot of opportunities.  The coders in the institute can compete with some of the best in the country.  The environment of the place is also very good.  It is superior in terms of management, labs, infrastructure, faculty, labs, etc. Categories CSE at Heritage Institute of Technology Course Fee 4.04 lakh Placement Percentage 80-90% Highest CTC 24 LPA Average CTC 16 LPA The companies that visit the institute are Microsoft, Amazon, Intel, Capgemini, Oracle, etc. TCS is the biggest recruiter of students graduating from Heritage....Read more

Ques. What is the exact amount of money (donation) needed to get in CSE at Heritage Institute of Technology through the management quota?

● Top Answer By Senjuti Roy on 21 Sept 21

The amount keeps changing every year. There is no fixed amount. Nowadays, the college follows a system of seat-booking whereby you can book a seat if you are not quite sure about your admission to any college. You will have to pay a certain amount specified by the college and your seat will be booked in the stream that you want to opt for if you join the college. The system is a little different and it is not exactly like the management quota in other colleges. The amount that you have to pay depends on which branch you want to opt for. The more demanding the branch, the more the amount of donation. For example, branches like Computer Science or Electronics are charged more than branches like Applied Instrumentation or Biotechnology. I would recommend you book a seat and later decide whether you want to join or not. This will cost you less. But, you will have to decide within a short span of time otherwise the authority will move the list and give admission to a lower-ranked individual....Read more

Ques. How tough is it to change branch from ECE to CSE in Heritage Institute of Technology?

● Top Answer By Tushar Biswas on 22 Sept 21

To change the stream from ECE to CSE, having an SGPA of 8.5 or more at the end of the first year is mandatory. It goes without saying that you will have to focus on your academics and try to maintain regular attendance. Complete your lab assignments and you can easily achieve an SGPA of 8.5 or even more. Heritage Institute is now an autonomous institute so all the scores are in the hands of the faculty. The scoring rate has seen a slight decrease since the time it was under WBUT....Read more

Ques. What should I do in my 1st year of CSE engineering at Heritage Institute of Technology?

● Top Answer By Abhijeet Kumar Bardhan on 20 Sept 21

One of my friends studied at Heritage Institute of Technology. Here are some things I got to know from him, which might help you sort your priorities in the 1st year of your college. You should be really good at learning programming languages, C, C++, etc. Refresh your +2 physics and chemistry fundamentals and conceptual knowledge. Try to develop your communication skills as much as possible. Most importantly, pay attention to your seniors, especially during the first month of your college days. And for your advantage, you may join different technical or cultural clubs, which will help you to gain credit points and also act as an extracurricular activity. Therefore, keep these points in mind before delving into different things. Enjoy your college life, but also side by side prepare to improve yourself both academically and personally....Read more

Ques. Which is better CSE in Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology or IT in Heritage institute of technology?

● Top Answer By Priyanka Roy on 22 Sept 21

Look for other options as IT at Heritage is not the best option. However, it has a stellar record of placement if we talk about the other branches.  MSIT, on the other hand, offers good exposure for CSE. It just falls short of Heritage’s fame and does not enjoy the same reputation. During a recent placement drive, the CSE branch observed the highest number of placement offers. Check the following table for a brief insight on both institutions Criteria Heritage Institute of Technology Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology Total Fees 3.93 lakhs 4.84 Lakhs Highest Package 16 LPA 11.40 LPA Average Package 4 LPA 5.6 LPA If you are unable to join MSIT, go for IT at Heritage and then shift your stream to CSE at the end of the first year if your SGPA is above 8.5. HIT boasts of having a brand value nowadays so obviously it attracts the most candidates....Read more

Ques. Can I get a CSE in Heritage Institute of Technology with a 3 870 rank in the WBJEE?

● Top Answer By Shubhangi Rana on 13 Sept 21

With your rank, it might be not possible to get CSE at the Heritage Institute of Technology. WBJEE Cut off for 2021 closed at 3198 for All-India Quota. Except for CSE, you can get any other branch at HIT or you can wait for further rounds. Before opting for Heritage, you must know that the fee structure is quite high at the institute. Even if you are financially stable, it might not be a good idea to go there. The academic curriculum is outdated and the environment is not appropriate for engineering. You will see rich kids joining the college, fashion parades, luxurious cars and etc. There is nothing as such engineering at HIT but only fun. This lavishness is all thriving in the city where there are majorly people who are striving for a job being in their thirties only....Read more

Ques. How tough is it to change your branch from IT to CSE in Heritage Institute of Technology?

● Top Answer By Avinash Pathak on 22 Sept 21

Your question can be based on whether or not you are strictly capable of maintaining a YGPA above 8.5 following the first year.  The subjects allotted in the first semester do share most of the things in common, alongside 2 additional courses. Moreover, the subjects allotted in the second semester are equally as difficult as the subjects of the previous semester. For students who particularly did not have a Computer in their +2, then the course area named “Introduction to C” can be trickier to ace since its preparation needs practice. It is crucial to note that a YGPA of 8.5 does not guarantee the chance of switching from IT to CSE. It generally interprets that there are supposed to be more than half the students who would be applying for a branch change, and out of them, the only candidates shortlisted belong from the top 5 to 6. It is suggested that you maintain a YGPA between 8.75 to more than 9 so as to secure the chance of branch change. You can undeniably ace the same with about 5 weeks of definite effort before the semester exams....Read more

Ques. My WBJEE rank is 4503. I want a BTech in CSE. Can I get into Heritage Institute of Technology? What are some other government/private colleges for BTech CSE at this rank?

● Top Answer By Abinash Roy on 10 Sept 21

Both the choices are decent so you can choose either. But, as I don't know exactly which branch of DSU are you asking about; but if you are talking about DSU (Kumar swami layout) then go for it; and if not NHCE is better. If you are hard-working go for DSU as placements for CSE and ISE are the same and you should prepare for the campus placements as well. In DSU the average and highest CTC offered is 4 LPA and 15 LPA.  If you are an average student in CSE, then NHCE offers 100% placements for CSE. In recent years the average CTC offered at the institute is 3 LPA.  If you are going to an engineering college in search of a decent job then go for NHCE. And let me clear that, 100% placements mean there are no specifications of package you will be given. You might get a company to work with a 1 LPA salary or a 12 LPA salary depends on your caliber and knowledge....Read more

Ques. Which college is the best for computer science and engineering: UEM Kolkata, Heritage Institute of Technology, or CIEM?

● Top Answer By Sudeshna Kaur on 13 Jul 21

One of my close friends studied CSE at the Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata. According to her, they have a great faculty, well-maintained infrastructure, and an updated curriculum. Heritage Institute provides better placement opportunities than UEM and CIEM Kolkata. It also offers good industrial exposure to its students through various kinds of workshops, seminars, and guest lectures. UEM is a very new college so it cannot be compared with old institutions like Heritage or CIEM. Categories Heritage Institute CIEM UEM Course Fee 4.56 lakhs 3.57 lakhs 5.81 LPA Highest CTC 25 LPA 21 LPA 12 LPA Average CTC 12 LPA 10 LPA 8 LPA Recruiting Companies Accenture, Cognizant, etc. Wipro, Infosys, etc. Byju’s, HCL, etc. It is suggested that you go for Heritage Institute of Technology rather than CIEM or UEM in Kolkata. Ques. Should I take CSE at B.P. Poddar or go for CSE at Heritage Institute of Technology through the management quota?

● Top Answer By Rohit Singhal on 17 Sept 21

Heritage would be far better for your career than B.P.Poddar, in terms of educational facilities and campus infrastructure. The environment is good and the members of the faculty are helpful and nice.  I have visited both of these colleges and am familiar with them. If you want to have a fantastic college experience, Heritage would prove to be the best choice for you. It could be a bit pricey if you use Management Quota. However, HIT offers good placement for CSE. In the recent placement drive, the average CTC offered at the institute was 4 LPA and the highest was 16 LPA. ...Read more
