- The University of Alberta offers a BSc in Dental Hygiene for a duration of 4 years.

- There are three different streams which are available depending on when, and from where, students can receive their diploma:
- Program A: For students who graduated from the University of Alberta Dental Hygiene Program between 1998 and 2001.
- Program B: For students who graduated from the University of Alberta Dental Hygiene Program prior to 1998, or from 2008 onward, also for diploma dental hygiene graduates from other accredited dental hygiene programs.
- Program C: For students who graduated from the University of Alberta Dental Hygiene Program between 2002 and 2007.
- The Dental Hygiene Program provides an education that is highly responsive, scientific, and professional, in a learning environment that is dynamic and student-centered.
- The student-faculty ratio for this program is 26:1.

- Students should complete their graduation from the University of Alberta Dental Hygiene program.
- Students should hold a letter of good standing from current and previous licensing bodies.
- A GPA of 2.0/4.0 is required to get admission in this program.
- Academic Requirements - Program B
- Students should complete their graduation from the University of Alberta Dental Hygiene program or other accredited Canadian or International Dental Hygiene programs.
- A GPA of 2.0/4.0 is required to get admission in this program.
- For students who have not graduated from the University of Alberta program should contain a proof of licensure to practice dental hygiene within Canada.
- Students must have an English language proficiency test score.

- Students should complete their graduation from the University of Alberta Dental Hygiene program.
- Students should hold a letter of good standing from current and previous licensing bodies.
- A GPA of 2.0/4.0 is required to get admission in this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Complete International Baccalaureate (IB) or Advanced Placement (AP) courses.
- Secured a minimum of 70% marks in one of these certificates: All India Senior School Certificate, Higher Secondary School Certificate, Intermediate Certificate, Indian School Certificate.
- Completed grade 11 and grade 12 with 75% marks.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
