University of Alberta is great!

9.5 /10

I heard from friends that it was one of the best colleges for engineering in Canada, websites that I researched confirmed this so I applied and got accepted quickly. The admission process was simple, they just needed basic information and my grades. I had a 90%+ average in grade 12 so I got in easily.

Exams :

As for specific eligibility for this program, I had to take certain courses in high school including physics, calculus, chemistry, and English.

Placement :

For engineering, there are many co-op opportunities. You can get a placement at many companies and the pay is very nice. The percentage of people who get placed is quite high and if you're a good student, it's pretty much guaranteed.

Internship :

There are many jobs available on campus, and many related to the food places on campus, of which there are a lot. I do not know what the pay is like as I have not decided to seek employment on campus. I assume that it is easy to apply.

Fees :

The total fees if you decide to live on residence are around $36,000 CAD. I did not pursue a loan so I can not name any agencies. There are many scholarships available although I do not know any by name. The amounts and criteria vary quite a bit between them. However, there is something for everyone.

Faculty :

I think that the faculty of my college, the University of Alberta, is quite good. The faculty-student ratio seems fair.

Hostel :

I chose to live on campus as it is very convenient that way. You live on campus so you can get to your classes quite quickly so you can wake up later than you could if you lived off campus. Living on campus also makes maintaining a social life easy. The meal plan that you pay for as part of residence fees pays for all of your meals.
